I hate the Ravens' rings because the mascot is just wrong. It's got dead eyes.

My favourite rings in no particular order are the Eagles, Saints, SB XL Steelers, SB 50 Broncos and SB LI Patriots. I can't really pick a for sure #1 between them because they are all different styles but you notice they are all really clean, even the Broncos pulled it off clean with that monstrosity. If you put a gun to my head I'd probably order them Eagles (maybe bias but it pops out nice compared to others) Broncos, Steelers, Patriots and Saints (Although it looks awesome for the Saints. I don't think it'd work as good for any other team).
I also like the 85 Bears for it's time and even the Cowboys' 3rd ring. And the Giants' last ring is clean. I can respect rivals' things (even not counting ours now) but as for the Redskins, I see what you tried to do there with your 3rd ring. Points for creativity in that era and it looks clean when worn (not just a photo alone) but it isn't among my favourites.

And lol the Bucs' ring is so bad. I wouldn't even call it old school.

Browns’ Christian Kirksey says they’ll make the playoffs this year

Will the NFL’s longest playoff drought end this year? One Browns player thinks so.

The Browns haven’t made the playoffs since 2002, the longest streak in the NFL, but Browns linebacker Christian Kirksey took to Twitter to proclaim they’re going to make it this year.

“Woke up this morning letting yal know Browns will be in the playoffs this year! Remember this tweet #Cleveland,” Kirksey wrote.

Given that the Browns were 0-16 last year, 1-15 the year before and have been the worst team in the NFL over the two decades since they returned to the NFL as an expansion team, a lot of people will scoff at that.

But there’s little doubt that Kirksey is at least correct that the Browns have the best roster they’ve had in his five seasons in Cleveland. A playoff roster? That might be a stretch. (PFT)

I think its a better approach to win game #1 and not to concern yourself with the playoffs in June... Hell, maybe think about a good Training Camp first. One step and one thing at a time.

Falcons players are taking notice of Calvin Ridley

Before Falcons receiver Julio Jones worked out with Terrell Owens, the former Alabama receiver worked out with fellow former Alabama receiver Calvin Ridley. And Jones rubbed off on Ridley, apparently.

Via Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com, Falcons players have been gushing about Ridley, taken by Atlanta in round one.

“He was highlighted during the meetings on a run play, making a great block,” tackle Ryan Schraeder said. “That told me he’s going to fit in well here. And he’s a humble kid.”

    Safety Ricardo Allen agrees.

“One thing me and the veteran DBs already talked about and one of the things I’m already excited to see is him in year four and year five,” Allen said, per McClure. “I know that’s kind of jumping ahead early, but because he’s such a disciplined route runner and because he already kind of moves like a veteran, I just want to see when he becomes a veteran how much better a player he’s going to be.

“He’s the real deal. And he’s a good person. He’s not walking around like he thinks he’s hot sh-t. He’s walking around like a really good dude.”

Ridley could end up doing a variety of things for the Falcons. One thing he won’t be doing is replacing Jones. Despite his absence of offseason workouts, it would be a shock if Jones — under contract for three more years — isn’t present when camp opens, or at the latest when the season starts. Which means that Ridley and Jones together could do big things.

“I feel pretty good about how I’ve performed out here and bonded with the team,” Ridley said, according to McClure. “I definitely need to clean up a lot of things. But I feel pretty good about myself, where I’m at right now.”

The could make the Falcons feel pretty good about their offense, for 2018 and beyond. (PFT)

I didn't understand people shying away from Ridley for other receivers the way they did. Falcons are going to have a terrifying group of people to throw the ball to.

Report: Jameis Winston braces for a suspension

The investigation regarding Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston remains open. Whenever it closes, the final decision could indeed be a suspension.

Via JoeBucsFan.com, ESPN Tallahassee radio host Jeff Cameron said that the NFL will suspend Winston for the alleged incident from March 2016 with an Uber driver in Arizona.

“The Winston camp is prepared for the NFL to levy a suspension of some kind,” Cameron said. “The thought from the Winston camp is that would be a maximum of three games. I do not know at this time whether or not they plan to appeal, and I do not know that three games is an accurate number. I’ve been told that would seem to be the maximum number of games that the suspension could be. It’s also likely that it’s less than that and it’s one game.”

The suspension would arise not necessarily from the incident itself but from a failure to make a timely report of the allegation, which can constitute a separate violation of the Personal Conduct Policy.

Whatever the suspension, the filing of an internal appeal makes sense. External attacks on the suspension, via litigation, would make little sense, given that past cases have made it clear that the league’s power in these case is extremely broad. (PFT)

That would be sexual assault, since “touching” or “grabbing” was allegedly involved.

Report: Martavis Bryant has not missed or failed a drug test

The situation surrounding Raiders receiver Martavis Bryant remains unclear a week after a report that the team was bracing for another suspension. But a new report says Bryant has not missed or failed a drug test.

Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports that Bryant hasn’t been notified by the league that he is facing discipline, and didn’t fail or miss a drug test.

That comes on the heels of a previous report from Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the Raiders are wary that a new suspension for Bryant may be imminent. Bryant missed the entire 2016 season for repeated violations of the league’s substance-abuse policy.

It is possible for a player to violate the substance-abuse policy without failing or missing a test. For example, when Bryant was reinstated following his 2016 suspension, he reportedly was required to work with a clinician regarding his offseason activities. Failure to do so could be considered a violation of the substance-abuse policy even if he hasn’t failed a test.

The Raiders sent a third-round draft pick to the Steelers to acquire Bryant this offseason. (PFT)

This is where old farts get confused . . .

I thought if a player has already progressed to and received a one year suspension, the next step would be a lifetime ban.
