And having trouble holding his water vs a Tyrod Taylor type QB who is in the same boat as him learning a system...yes he has experience on him but thats about it as he was a 6th round pick
So I can put you solidly in the not a chance playoff category Tim. The scenarios are much easier not making the playoffs. I just really would like to know from the playoffs this year crowd or person, but it seems a question no one appears to want to explain. I personally think it would be a huge unexpected problem for the Browns front office, coaching staff and fans.
I was trolling. Not that I think I was wrong in my opinion. Just not the best approach. Sometimes I can be obtuse. I actually like the Browns.
I know this was directed at SAS, but imho, that would depend on just how well Tyrod Taylor plays. Getting a team that has gone under such an overhaul in one season to the playoffs is one thing. It's quite another to be one of the main reasons they are there. I expect Baker Mayfield to become one of the top QBs in the league, not just get them to the playoffs each year like Andy Dalton did with the Bengals. If this team really has upped their game, and can gel in year one, but Tyrod is simply Tyrod, then I would EXPECT the Browns to make the move in the off-season, playoffs or not. Everyone else they are trading for got a new contract when they arrived, Tyrod did not...This isn't a simple experiment, to me, it is a prove it year for Tyrod and his next team's contract. I simply don't think Tyrod has the skillset that Baker does, so I can't imagine a scenario where Baker won't be the guy in 2019. Now...If he does come out and BECOME a top 5-10 QB in the league, getting the Browns to the AFC Championship game or something..then we can talk about that at that time. He has NEVER shown to be that type of QB though, even if he does have a better surrounding cast in Cleveland than he did in his past...I can't believe I just said that...
Not to be a troll....But do any of you really thing the Browns will be a playoff team this year? Or Taylor will be a top 12 QB. I mean I like the team and the player but in no way do they win more then 6 games this year in that division. And this Mayfield talk. Oh my word.
It's a tad premature to be discussing Browns' QB's in 2019. Afterall, based on the MSM, Sammy's crusade and all the sheeple who regurgitate that shit, the 2019 QB for the Browns will be whoever the new Head Coach chooses.
Franchise tag Tyrod Taylor and give him another year behind center. The Browns have had two winning seasons since 1999. If Taylor wins nine games AND takes this team to the Playoffs (after 1-31 and 0-16), this city will build a statue of him. What's the worst that could happen? Mayfield gets another season to marinate and then jumps into a winning, playoff-caliber team once Taylor departs?
If the Browns go 9-7, they'll hang on to Hue Jackson. Also, I'm kind of like the pied piper of crusades.
You guys are soft in the head if you think the North is that much stronger then the East...O ya you don't play Cleveland. Soft conference argument is silly. How were the Bengals last year? How many teams from the North made the playoffs. The 7-9 Bengals and 8-8 Ravens kicked the shit out of the Browns? Really lets talk reality here. ,
9-7 is a bit higher than I'm expecting. But since you're offering the above deal with no strings attached on my end......I'd like video proof should SAS's 9-7 prediction come true, preferably something posted to Youtube. I'd buy you a beverage or two to wash it down with.
He's drawing rave reviews in the @Browns secondary: http://on.nfl.com/SMKWR7 Get ready to eat shit SPress....^^^Especially with your take on this guy.
