If I had a player on my team and he came out and said our WRs are the worst in the league and we will be lucky to win one game that would be a serious problem, so yeah players should be optimistic because it can happen, just not as often as players on shitty teams speak of it going to happen.

Not to beat a dead horse, Waz . . . But the reason he was only 21 instead of 23 is that HE (Kizer) decided to declare for the NFL draft early rather than continue his preparation as a college QB for another year (or two). That was clearly Kizer's choice. Would another year or two at ND have helped him as a rookie? We'll never know.
