it's their best movie together. I hate spade, but he's tone down and low key in this movie. it's really Farley's movie.

They ordered like a $500k hit on Pistone after but the FBI went around and said "Do you really want to cause trouble" and the hit was called off. Now a days he avoids places with heavy mob presence just in case but still has been to major crime cities as an expert witness and was in New York to consult for the movie and people DID recognize him.

yep. I've seen a few things on the real Joe Pistone. He still wears a disguise. a few years ago a body came afloat in the water (I think the Hudson River) and it was Sonny Black. He was killed for allowing Donnie to infiltrate the Mob family. He had no ill will for Donnie and really liked him. Lefty was going to be killed as well but the FBI intercepted him before he could get to the meeting that he would be killed in.
It was Lefty that liked him and had no ill will. Sonny and the guy that got him in at the start were both hacked shortly after.
it was the Kings Court and the guy was Richie Gazzo. In the scene where they ask Donnie what does "forget about it" mean, that's a young mostly unknown actor named Paul Giamatti who asks Donnie about it. A great scene. Forget about it.
