The Arizona Cardinals are trading for Cleveland Browns cornerback Jamar Taylor, a source confirmed to ESPN.

The Browns will receive a 2020 sixth-round pick in return, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Taylor, 27, started 15 games for the 0-16 Browns in 2017. He had one forced fumble and a half-sack while appearing in all 16 games.

The Browns had been trying to trade Taylor after they selected cornerback Denzel Ward out of Ohio State with the fourth overall pick in this year's draft.
Taylor could fill a need for the Cardinals, who have sought a cornerback to play opposite Patrick Peterson.

A 2013 second-round pick by the Miami Dolphins, Taylor has three career interceptions (all in 2016) over five NFL seasons.

NFL Network first reported the trade.

  2. Burrows has talent. Based on what competition he will face at LSU, Burrows could end up being the starting QB for the Tigers at the start of the 2018-19 season. He was in a tight battle with JT Barrett to start for the Buckeyes until an injury sidelined him prior to this past season. I will be watching how he does at LSU.

Burreaux can be added to the long list of prestigious LSU QB's.

Wait, he could BE, the list.

Did anyone see the LSU recruiting poster of their long list of10 or so "NFL QBs"?? I thought we talked about it, but I have slept since then and don't have the time that some do to dig through old posts.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Browns GM John Dorsey is shaking up the personnel department after his first draft with the club.

Two 13-year Browns personnel executives who survived numerous regime changes are gone in Director of Player Personnel Chisom Opara and Director of College scouting Bobby Vega, a league source confirmed for cleveland.com.

Neil Stratton of Inside the League first reported the news.

He also reports that former Saints national scout Steve Malin will replace Vega as Director of College scouting.

Also, area scouts Patrick Moore (five seasons with the Browns), Scott Levin (four seasons) and Zac Bocian (15 years) are all gone, as is scouting assistant Keegan Leyrer, according to Stratton.

In addition, Browns draft consultant Scot McCloughan is no longer exclusive to the Browns and is back consulting for multiple teams through his business, Instinctive Scouting.

McCloughan played a key role in the Browns drafting quarterback Baker Mayfield No. 1 overall.

A league source said Browns Vice President of Player Personnel Andrew Berry, who was Sashi Brown's top personnel man, is safe despite the fact he's a holdover from the Brown regime.

But the Browns currently have three Vice Presidents of Player Personnel in Berry, Alonzo Highsmith and Ken Kovash, and that will likely change in the coming days as Dorsey finalizes his new staff.

At the NFL Annual Meetings in March, Jimmy Haslam said Chief Strategy Officer Paul DePodesta would remain with the club in that capacity.
Opara was hired by the Browns in 2005 as an area scout after spending a year with the Ravens. In 2016, he was promoted to director of player personnel. Vega started out as a scouting assistant and area scout before being promoted to director of college scouting in 2016 under Brown.

Since Dorsey was hired on Dec. 7, he's overhauled the roster, including trading six veterans, signing nine undrafted free agents and drafting nine players, including Mayfield and No. 4 overall pick Denzel Ward.

I missed this. From a few days ago.....

Browns signed fourth-round WR Antonio Callaway to a four-year contract.

Third-round DE Chad Thomas has also signed his rookie deal. Callaway's talent is undeniable but so are his off-the-field issues. On tape, Callaway looks like a young Santonio Holmes, and he blazed a 4.41 forty in Indy. Multiple scouts suggested before the draft Callaway was this year’s most-talented receiver. He could put heat on Corey Coleman for the Browns' third wideout job behind Josh Gordon and Jarvis Landry right away.

The Browns are expected to start Larry Ogunjobi and Trevon Coley at defensive tackle this season.

The trade of Danny Shelton opened up a starting job and 469 snaps from last season. Ogunjobi is expected to be the biggest beneficiary after Coley surprisingly led all Browns DTs in snaps last year. A third-round pick last year, Ogunjobi is an athletic freak at 6'2/305 and set school records across the board in college at Charlotte. He received outstanding marks from Pro Football Focus across 300 snaps last season and is a major breakout candidate for the upstart Browns.

Contract-year RB Duke Johnson is "optimistic" he and the Browns will hammer out a new deal.

The two sides have been talking for months, and Johnson admitted it's taking "forever" to come to terms. He's present at OTAs and isn't making a stink over the negotiations. Johnson is set to earn just over $1.9 million in the final year of his deal. He's likely looking for at least the $4 million annually James White got from the Patriots last offseason on a multi-year extension.

This helmet without that ugly stripe up the middle actually looks good.

Little Red Riding Hood is skipping down the road when she sees the Big Bad Wolf crouched down behind a log.

"My, what big eyes you have, Mr. Wolf," says Little Red Riding Hood.

The surprised wolf jumps up and runs away!

Further down the road, Little Red Riding Hood sees the wolf again, this time he is crouched behind a tree stump.

"My what big ears you have Mr. Wolf, " says Little Red Riding Hood.

Again the foiled wolf jumps up and runs away!

About two miles down the track, Little Red Riding Hood sees the wolf again, this time crouched down behind a road sign.

"My, what big teeth you have Mr. Wolf," taunts Little Red Riding Hood.

With that, the Big Bad Wolf jumps up and screams, "Will you get lost? I'm trying to take a cr*p!"

Just worry about the ugly stamp on the side of your helmet....Our stripe isn't going anywhere. That practice helmet looks like 1978 Bengals to me.

The Browns helmet is as iconic as it gets in this league...

My immediate thoughts were the Oilers, the original Dolphins and the Raiders.

I think I'm going to waste at least the next 20 minutes looking at helmets and ranking them out.

From a pure team image standpoint, the Rams and Vikings' helmets have to be right up there amongst the leaders.
