Just watched Spinal Tap not long ago. Original names was the Thamesmen, first single was "Gimme Some Money." No "attaboy" for me, though.
Holy shit you never saw Spinal Tap either Cat? Color me stunned x2 2 outta 3 for Axe. The B side of "Gimme Some Money" was "Cups and Cakes."
U DOG- I left you a big fat spoiler on the Americans thread. Please watch the damn episode so we can talk about it and you telling me I'm wrong as usual! lol. thanks.
LOL, tonight for sure...didn't get home til like 11, ate a sandwich and almost immediately crashed on the couch as predicted, never even got the DVR queued up lol. At least my team won, and I didn't totally suck for a change!
Axe you got a question or should I see if I can come up with a Triple Lindy of movies Cat hasn't seen
In The Great Escape (I'll shit in my hat if he hasn't seen this one lol), what is the name of the newspaper Sedgwick (James Coburn) is reading at the cafe before the Nazi officers are assassinated?
congrats - now watch it tonight bf I blow a gasket in anticipating telling you all about it. hhahahahha
won't happen a 3rd time ! and I could've Wikipedia the plot for Mister Roberts and saw he transferred to the USS Lexington and still threw the plant overboard !
the tunnels were Tom, Dick and Harry and 50 men including Roger Bartlett were killed on a hillside by the Germans. If I never saw The Great Escape, I would hand in my movie card and have you guys tear it up! I never saw a couple of movies on here but TGE I've seen a lot. Seeing Steve McQueen aka "The Cooler King" ride around on the motorcycle and jumping barricades was awesome.
Yes I've just been letting it marinate in my mind for a bit before posting my thoughts. I didn't have the viscerally negative reaction you did lol.
no shit. 3 news reports called it "one of the best finales ever." sure if you like to be let down and not have things answered. sure then it's great. it could've been great. there could've been betrayals and killings etc. it had nothing. it was a cookie cutter wrap in a red box perfect tidy ending. the show isn't about nice and tidy. it's about lying and killing and stuff spies do. all that bs about their mission Phillip gave in his speech to Stan they never showed 1 bit of it in the finale. was it all a lie? Stan said he didn't care about Gorbachev so why let them go ? It was terrible on so many levels when it didn't have to be. I've read dozens of reviews on it and everyone is happy. not 1 person looks at the lack of killing or betrayal I thought was coming. so much to be answered and we will never know now about it. that's lazy ass writing.
