Watching this again. Because I can't sleep until I understand. Everyone is going to hate me at the cookout tomorrow. why does Jaylon Brown take that shot at 7:46 in the second Qt, should of rotated.

 

There's probably 30 shots you could ask the same thing about. The whole team played like the object of the game was to heave up as many ill-advised three balls as possible.

 

At least the Celtics have the most championships and not the Lakers.

You mean when they won 8 in a row and 10 out of 11 championships in the 50’s-60’s. They had to beat Wilt Chamberlain every season to either get to the championships or to win them. He was the greatest player ever in the NBA and he couldn’t get past the Celtics. The Celtics of the 60’s would have destroyed Jordan’s Bulls, Majic’s Lakers, Koby’s Lakers, Bird’s Celtics and Lebron’s Cavaliers. You could take the best off those teams and they still would beat the shit out of them. This is not football where you can’t compare different eras.

 

Gid- all I said was most of their titles came before 1970. you went on a tangent to no where. I didn't mention eras.I didn't mention Jordan or Bird. the lakers had 3 different title runs with Magic and Kareem, then Shaq and Kobe and then Kobe and whatever 4 other players they put on the court like Gasol and Luke Walton since 1980.

Wilt never had the team nor the Hall of Famers Bill Russell had around him to win on a more consistent level. Bill Russell is a NBA great too, so the Celtics were loaded in the 50's & 60's. how they ever lost was a rare feat. just saying for all the Celtics success, the majority of their titles are before 1970. The Lakers success is from 1980 and onward.

 

My point was, this ain’t like football , the skills they had in the 50’s and 60’s are good enough to kick ass now. Russell and The Stilt were both 7’ tall. They would be the top two players in the league. Lebron wouldn’t have played in NBA championships he has if he had to get past either of those two to get there. Yes they played before the 70’s , but they are the two best players ever in the NBA.
