To be fair, I think Irish was referring to some targeted shots at SAS.

As a personal favor, if everyone could just ratchet it down and remember that we all enjoy discussing differing opinions than our own without a bunch of the extra stuff, you would have my honest appreciation.

Understood, Tim. I didn't mean to get out of hand. I have little to no respect for SAS, but I didn't mean for that to interfere with any legitimate discussion (note: my lack of respect for SAS is largely due to his rare facilitating of legitimate discussion, so I'll chalk this one up to "don't stoop"). I won't stop calling out bad numbers or poor arguments, but I'll watch the personal shots - that's not what we're here for.

Irish, I issue the same apology to you. That said, let's be honest - even when people come here with constructive material, they're not always met well. If I had realized it was the Browns' board, I might've been more judicious with my presence. But I'm glad that the attitude is that, if someone brings something constructive, they're welcome here. I appreciate that, and will try to make sure I'm sticking to that.

 

Calm down guys. The Browns fans don't need to be abused on their own section. Some of it wasn't accusations and more of a warning. Opinions are fine but let's not resort to straight up hating for no reason.

Targeting a poster and not adding something to the conversation, I believe would be part of site policy. I warned the posters instead of asking Tim to take action.

Fuck off with the "grow some" shit. If you want to cut on specific posters, get the fuck out, pretty simple. You weren't doing that rediiis, so I don't know why you need to add to this in the first place. I would return the favor on the Raiders boards, but you are the only fucking fan on this site...so...

It had nothing to do with how I believe, it was to the ones specifically targeting a Browns poster without adding anything constructive.

I sincerely appreciate that dline...I don't mean to be a dick all the time, and quite frankly I have been making an attempt to simply stay away altogether lately, but targeting a poster on their own board. I did it on your board in 2017 and felt like shit about it. I went back this year and attempted to have a legitimate conversation and the Bears fans were complete assholes..I didn't respond in kind, I simply stopped posting.

No offense Tim but I don't think anyone "targets" SAS. They return serve against him. Sam takes shots at me on a daily basis, often when I'm not even in the conversation and I just laugh because it's Sam. The notion that Irish has to defend him is silly and knowing Sam as long as I have (10 years now) I doubt he welcomes it.

 

GTFOH... @sASS takes shots at everyone. A couple return shots has everyone rallying to defend him? Give me a break.

 

Is he coming to the Steelers board? I'm not a fan of some of the things he says...but you are coming to our board, so you do so at your own risk. Try posting something that adds to the conversation on the Bears boards..they are not welcoming in the least.

I don't give a shit whether he welcomes it or not...As a Browns fan, I'm sick of reading the shots taken by some of these guys who's only reason to post is to take the shots. It had nothing to do with you, so I don't know why your panties are so bunched up.

Probably because he recognizes the hypocrisy in your statement. You do need to work on growing some thicker skin. Is that a nicer way to put it?

 

To be clear - I'm not taking sides in a debate between people that have known each other longer than I have known any of the parties involved. All I'm looking to do is bring this down a level so that we can make it through the summer without it turning into something more than it needs to be.

 

I will actually apologize in this instance, I went back and reread the last two days, it was all dline in a sea of steelers posts. I actually thought firehalo made a snide comment, but he didn't..

If we were on the general boards...or YOUR fan boards, I would agree, but speaking to a Raiders, Bears or steelers fan on OUR boards..I will speak as freely as I wish. If I want to call you out individually, I will...just as you say you'll post anywhere you damn well please. I'll respond to anyone that comes to our board.

Telling me to grow a pair..or as the Bears fans constantly do..calling posters pussies...It is beyond immature. I have gotten into some heated arguments on here and after several exchanges called someone an idiot for not even attempting to read something that was written, yet commenting on it... But to challenge someones manhood...I'd love to see some of these guys in real life. They are probably the type of people who would never confront someone face to face. It's bliss hiding behind a computer screen.

 

Understandable from your perspective but all this hubbub is about Dline taking a shot at a guy that has taken numerous shots at him (and others) in the past few months. And for some inexplicable reason Irish decided to defend a guy who surely doesn't need defending and in the process drag in an entire fanbase that wasn't even participating (maybe he was 3 drinks in?).

I get that you're not really interested in scrolling through posts and determining who was the antagonizer and antagonizee but I think your efforts are misplaced on this one. Irish jumped the gun and owes the entire board an apology.

 

And you no doubt have read all the shots @sASS has taken at everyone else so you probably should just issue a "my bad, I jumped the gun" and end this damn soap opera. Sam can take care of himself.
