No sorry, just like we don't talk about when a general ends out a contingent of his army, to secure a hill prior to the battle in terms of his greatness, lesser games aren't really discussed in terms of QB greatness. Please tell me apart from when they were ocurring, how many times you talked about the divisional round winning and losing QBs, as opposed to the SB winning and Brady, er um, losing QB.
Again. With this “logic” the GOAT QB could be relegated to mediocrity due to his teammates/ coaches fucking up and losing the game. Absurdity.
Yes, in terms of Greatness. Kizer was a zero, but Tommy was a negative, because he got there and failed. Please remember, it's not about better, and it is about perception as much as profieciency. Nobody talks about those who didn't mak it there, well, except you, right now.
Again, that is purely "what if" speculation, the results in reality answer the question if they ACTUALLY did enough to win.
I'm trying to apply your "logic" across the board for tensile strength... and it is failing. Too bad for that one-hit wonder Johnny Unitas or whatever that Colts' QB was named.
Apparntly, logic is failing you as badly as counting up to 2 SB wins. Too bad for Johnny U, what? That he isn't eligible for GOAT by being a 1 hit wonder? Wol, he should have won more SBs then.
What? I was speaking relatively and I did except you, but characterizing as gross? Now that I could do with more explaining.
I didn't say they were GOAT... just closer, by your logic. TIL, Jim Plunkett is closer to GOAT than Dan Marino.
Claiming that nobody talks about those that didn’t make it. Plenty of examples already given of great QBs often talked about that don’t fit your grate criteria. The degree of loser criteria is as entertaining as it is absurd. This may be the only list that has a winless QB ranked higher than the league MVP.
No, sorry, but the conference championship is a lesser game than the Super Bowl. To fail there is WORSE than WINNING that game and then losing the next. To get to the Super Bowl, you have to WIN your divisional game. You have to WIN the conference championship game.
