isn't there a week off in between the Conference Championships and the SB? I never flown far enough to have jet lag, so I don't know if flying to London would cause jetlag from the US or how long they need to recover.

Kiper tore into them on Yahoo.com Sports. My brother in law is an old-time Steelers fan and he sends me a draft comparison of the Steelers vs the Eagles as I'm an Eagles fan and the year by year draft picks. The Steelers smoke the Eagles in the draft and found real gems while the Eagles pick bust after bust in high rounds - Marcus Smith and Danny Watkins. So I trust the Steelers front office more than Kiper.

How’s Jimmy Clausen doing? Ki-Jana Carter? Akili Smith? Manziel? Draft ratings before the picks hit the field are ridiculous. They didn’t do what he expected them to do so it’s a bad draft according to him. Remember a few years ago he said the Seahawk draft that got franchise qb Russel Wilson, Bruce Irvin, and Bobby Wagner was a C? Not going to lose sleep over his grades...

I'm not sure where you are going with this?

What if BOTH Super Bowl teams are on the West Coast?

San Francisco to London: 10 hours in flight...

LA to London 10.5 hours in flight....Oh by the way...Each commercial ticket on a non stop flight is approximately $3,000...make it a one stop affair to conserve money? $1,300 per ticket and a 16 hour trip...

So, for the team, yes, I agree it is doable..For the fans of these teams it makes it even more out of price range for the typical fan, even if they can afford the outrageous ticket price.

In comparison, your Pats fans can get flights non stop for around $550, with a 6.5 hour ride time...

I said this the other day. My 2 brothers, who are wealthy went to Minnesota from Pennsylvania to see the Eagles and Pats SB. Their SB tix alone was $2500 each plus airfare, hotel etc. They would never afford to go overseas for it and this SB was a one time thing bucket list thing to do. You to go London and kiss off the large majority of fans for each team in the SB from attending.

Has the ball, tricks one defender into tackling his loose helmet, while stepping on another defender’s junk... great football play.

This started from an original discussion about London/Wembley being able to support a Super Bowl. The answer to that question is YES. The NFL probably thinks everyone’s money is the same. An Euro’s money is just as good as an American’s money. A butt in the seat is a butt in the seat to the NFL. Euro Cup/World Cup happens regularly in lesser cities than where previous Super Bowls have been played and as for the transport, driving, parking “issues”... train travel is REALLY big in Europe (less parking needed). It takes 90 minutes to fly from Prague to London. I can’t even drive to Philly (from NYC) in that amount of time. Driving everywhere is North American culture. Most fans of the teams playing and of the game itself watches the SB on tv. This is a non-issue (at this point), but it is interesting to see the responses.

    Move over Kirk Cousins...

Matt Ryan agrees to massive extension with the Falcons

The NFL now has a $30 million a year quarterback. And it’s not Aaron Rodgers.

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the Falcons have agreed to a new five-year extension with quarterback Matt Ryan, which hits a new benchmark for annual average, and includes $100 million guaranteed.

That surpasses the three-year, $84 million deal (all guaranteed) Kirk Cousins just got from the Vikings, but will be surpassed again when the Packers eventually pay their quarterback.

Ryan was entering the final year of his contract, and the lack of an extension kept them from doing much in free agency earlier this offseason. (PFT)

not advocating for a SB in London, just pointing out that travel time isnt all that big of an obstacle.

I agree. But it wouldn't be all bad to have two west coast teams in the Super Bowl !!!
