Picked up my logitech keyboard last night, everything went smooth. I think a lot of my future purchases will be with amazon.

yeah spring finally came this week. last week we had 3 nice days and 2 days below 50. now it's 70 + all week long. I gotta get outside and start walking again. I'm a fat bastard and stay in all winter long.

Just start walking, you could do so much without having to get a membership.

My niece is living down the street from me for four months. She has a bike, she'll want to go riding.

to be honest skinny, I'm too big for a bike right now. it's been a rough 2 winters for me in the weight department.

may 10th is my second year of sobriety. I was able to quit drinking cold turkey. I'm making sobriety look very easy, when others struggle with it every day. Now most people weren't begging to live like I was either, so my path is a little different. what I can't understand is I am able to quit drinking, but still need my 1 soda at lunch at work. I used to be a walking nut 20 yrs ago and walk/run 4 miles a night rain or shine. again, I quit drinking, but rather take a nap than walk 2 miles. I need to stop this mentality immediately. I need to get my fat ass out there again and never look back. I just gotta find the oomph in me to do it.

You really have to watch your sugar intake, high blood sugar causes fatigue.

My oldest brother weighed 380 lbs at one time, he's about 175 lbs right now. Until he cut out sugar and bread, he had a lot of problems putting any weight off.

^^ good to know. 1 soda a day won't kill me, but I think it's starting too.

what else did your brother do to cut weight besides give up sugar and bread ? How long did it take him to lose the weight??

a college buddy of mine is a top salesmen in a pyramid scheme diet plan called ISAGENIX. It's a cleansing and starvation diet. You cleanse twice in the first 10 days and you basically don't eat anything but wafers like 3x in 2 days. The only time I tried this, I was so hungry after 10 hrs of no food, I was physically angry at the world and anyone who came near me. then in between the cleanse days you eat 1000 calories and under a day. you gotta buy their food, which is super expensive and their morning and lunch shakes which are insanely expensive. I did the shakes for 3 months and quit. I didn't make it past 1 cleanse day but the calorie intake cheatsheet was helpful.

my buddy gets credit for everyone he brings into ISAGENIX and everyone they bring in etc. A true pyramid scheme. He quit his day job, got top salesmen of the year and won 2 trips to Vegas and a $25,000 bonus 2 yrs ago. Now he gets people to use this stuff and is a motivational speaker now for them too.

Another college buddy, who is bigger than I am tried this same diet/cleansing/ starvation for 2 months and lost like 30 lbs. he had before and after pix too. he didn't even exercise. ugh. I kind of regret giving up on it but I really couldn't afford it. and the cleansing not eating for 2 days sucked ass. I gotta cut calories and get myself outside full-time.

The problem with these diets is that in most cases you end up putting the weight back on. You have to try and find a way that you want to eat for the rest of your life. This calls for a lot of reading on nutrition and find what works best for you.
    Education is the key here.
