Blue Chips was a decent movie but the JT Walsh role of Happy Kuykendahl was ridiculous. The name alone is ridiculous, let alone his antics and dialogue. And the speech at the end, we all know he's going to quit. the last 15 min of the movie, we know he will quit and yet his ex-wife can't believe he quits. come on now.

Sorry I meant to post a question and never got to it. The answer to yours is New York. Youngblood's Dad is played for a real former hockey player and he doubled as the film's hockey consultant. Name him....and the team's he played for in his NHL career. For bonus points....tell me his jersey number.
that's easy - Eric Nesterenko #15 and played for the Blackhawks, where he won the Stanley Cup, and the Maple Leafs. It was on tv last night. 1 major flaw of the movie is - they are all playing for contracts for farm teams. there's no mention of the NHL Draft. If Dean was that good, he wouldn't went #1 overall in the draft. He tells Cynthia Gibb if he's not drafted in the next few years he's through. That's why he's trying out for Hamilton. He scored 192 goals, so yeah, he would be drafted. Derek Sutton says all he wants to do is sign 1 big contract. Again, he would be drafted too.
