Not sure what offers they were getting but I just gotta believe they could have gotten Ward further down the draft.
Last moment I changed my EXACT pick in the DVC away from Ward. We'll see if it was wise but it sure looks like it.
Cleveland is just proving why they are the worst ran team in football....maybe in any major sport at this moment in time.
He's good and a Top-10 talent, so it's not that big of a stretch. Unless he's a total bust, of course.
I think Ward is an outstanding CB but not at 4. If they don't pick him he probably doesn't get picked until outside the Top 10.
I’m with you there Paddy. I think you got lucky. Now I’m just wondering how they put talent around him
We have a genuinely solid young core in both those areas. Maybe no stars but it's far from the worst in the NFL.
Rediiis with a monster move after picking him 10th in rt/joe's uppity, snob ridden, super-draft. Ward moves up 6 spots.
I don't know if the Browns could have gotten Ward on a trade down. He could have been gone top 10 even if they traded down to 11 or whatever for a QB pick. But the Browns do have a history of reaching for a CB early when it isn't expected. Joe Haden. Not calling it a reach though.
We're far from completing the puzzle but Sam Darnold should be an important piece of it. Whether you rate the Jets or not it's a good start at least.
