https://brownswire.usatoday.com/201...ect-of-the-day-sam-houston-state-dt-p-j-hall/ I do believe the Browns are one of several teams very interested in Hall....
The difference: Big Ben. I'd sure like to see Garrett, Ogbouni(?), and Chubb, putting the heat on him.
Two areas of concern: LT and WR, Offensively. I've argued many times that I thought Gordon got singled out by the NFL unjustifiably, and I don't want to argue that, but that is behind us now (hopefully) and we now have a reciever who hasn't played in years (notwithstanding the couple games at the end of last season). Who is he going to be? How much of the gamebreaker we had 3 years ago is still there? Is he still that guy or is he Dez Bryant? We cannot be sure, and he could also disappear in a cloud of smoke, so my comfort level there is pretty narrow. Coleman is just as much of a question mark IMO. That leaves Landry, who I really like the acquisition of, and hope he brings some of the intensity, experience, and professionalism to the WR room, and it rubs off on the other two guys. If not, we have a paper tiger, without teeth. LT? So how do we feel about Shone Colemen making that move, and being able to hold up his end of the bargain? I'm hoping Dorsey & Co are looking to draft a potential replacement, as insurance against that experiment failing. Defensively I really like our D line, especially if they add Chubb. The secondary will be better, if not great, but a "for real" pass rush will make them so much better. I'd still like to add some speed in the secondary, and I'm not sure about our second level guys. Generally I feel like the second level guys are a less important part of the game today, but they have to be competent. How would you prioritize the team's needs going into the draft. Positionally, by need, I'm QB, LT, CB, then it's upgrades for RB, DE. Unfortunately, other than QB, this draft isn't rich at LT, so what does the FO do. Thoughts?
I think it comes down to NYG....I always felt Barkley was going there and if they pass on him I think he goes to TB...their the key here
Oof. You could line up a mile long list of these things, with each one getting more and more depressing than the last until at long last you reached a climax of "With the eight pick in the 2014 NFL Draft... the Cleveland Browns select... " Because for as bad as our bad flops have been (and there have been some doozies), for my money is doesn't - and can't - get worse than Justin Freaking Gilbert.
I wonder when the last time Gordon took a whiz quiz was. I wish the team could just test him at will. Now would be a great time to be getting results back... Just saying.
Winslow was a really talented player...He might have been one of the greats, had he not foolishly hopped on one of these thinking he could handle it; The Winslow bike...Suzuki GSXR-750....NOT a beginners bike! A friend of mine rides a Hayabusa...Crazy powerful. And the really stupid thing is, Winslow didn't just lose it on some road gravel like ya might expect, he wiped out in a parking lot when he was performing stunts...smh.
#SnakeBitFranchise Winslow goes over the handlebars at less than 20 mph, ruins his knee, never realizes his full potential and only plays in 44 career games for the Browns (less than three full seasons). Ben Roethsliberger goes helmet-less head first into a Buick, plays for 14+ seasons and is probably headed to the Hall of Fame when all is said and done.
Reports are swirling that the Browns have cooled considerably on Sam Darnold....Speculation continues to be Josh Allen or Baker Mayfield at #1.
I think the reports (intentionally) have the wrong surname on Josh. Decision could actually come down to Josh Rosen or Baker Mayfield. Which, if we're being honest, is the way it always should have been.
