Oh man... Dez Brant *and* Kenny Britt on the same team. Tom Brady's completion percentage would plummet.

He IS still Joe Flacco, so....

  3. You don’t think Flacco is good?

  4. Dogside18 Franchise Player Browns

He has a good arm but besides his SB run that got him that ridiculous contract he has been a let down.

  5. If they get Dez and hit on their #1 pick...I expect 10-11 wins...Flacco is behind only Brady, Ben and Rivers in the AFC

If Watson can play the whole season ::HOT TAKE ALERT:: Flacco would be behind him too, and be right in line with David Carr and even Tyrod Taylor. The AFC is just not that good in terms of QB. We all thought Luck would have been that next guy but at this point who knows if he will even play again, let alone at anywhere close to his previous level. Blake Bortles had a good year statistically but still had plenty of Blake Bortles moments and is still lumped in with the "field".

That is also 2 "ifs" needing to be satisfied in your scenario.

  7. Your right....AFC does have some weak QBs...thats why its usually Pitt or NE as top contenders....Carr regressed and Taylor is avg at best...Watson unknown

    Deshaun Watson?

I'm still waiting to pass judgement on him. Much like Wentz in Philadelphia, the coaching staff was absolutely critical in the success of those young QBs. Obviously, the proper pairing of QB and system (spoiler ahead: *ALL* QBs are system QBs) can have great results.

Watson got away with a lot of throws last season, too. He had the league's highest interceptable pass rate and was fortunate enough to have so many drops defensively that could - *should* - have gone the other way. He led the league in average time-to-throw (3.1s) - some of which was him extending plays.

Now, I'm not arguing that Watson isn't better than Flacco - he is. 30 other starters are. But let's see what Watson does in Year 2. And Wentz in Year 3, for that matter.

    I concur.

Regardless of passes that woulda, shoulda, coulda, if Deshaun can put up those numbers over a whole season and the ball always bounces his way he is better than Flacco 8 days a week and twice on sunday.

    Oh, agreed 1,000%.

Joe Flacco is garbage. It's infuriating we lose to that team twice a year.

  11. RU guys serious? Flacco is garbage? The guy has played behind one of the worst OL in the last few yrs and no weapons on the perimeter....if they get Dez Bryant along w Crabtree, he will complete 67% of his passes and exceed 4000 yds w 25+ TDs while playing 16 games.....book it...u see thats part of the problem.....he is garbage but Taylor is a very good vet QB....every GM would take Flacco over Taylor hands down

TB12 marches out there with marginally skilled, undersized guys every year with patchwork lines and doesn't waver. He even elevates his team.

I think most GMs would take a guy who limits TOs regardless of name.

  13. He has Gronk, Edelman(not this yr), Amendola, Cooks(now traded), RBs who become WRs on mismatches and swing passes...Flacco would die for that group

  14. Dogside18 Franchise Player Browns

again, marginally skilled, undersized guys. Cast off's and throw-away's are who Brady has at skill positions. We have seen repeatedly that guys leave TB/BB and are nothing. Gronk misses half the damn games and the offense doesn't skip a beat. Flacco would still over-estimate his arm and throw INTs. (side note, I understand he is a pro QB and has a phenomenal arm it doesn't mean he cant over estimate it).

  15. Antonio Brown is undersized....those guys are perfect for Brady...catch and throw type QB and w their quickness get open and he drops dimes to them...yes he makes them better but the system is set up for those type of guys

damn! Sano...lol! this game might never end.

  18. It ended alright....this team is so hard to watch...Tito is a very bad manager that doesnt teach fundamentals...Perez was having a field day ripping on their bunt attempts

I tried my hand at a few different mock draft simulations last night. Each one I used a different big board as the basis to try to mix it up a little bit. Also, each draft I also used a different option for team needs and tried to stick with that. One of them I slipped up and drafted 2 safeties with later picks, but besides that, I tried to stay close to however each board was set and not reach too far down the list for each pick. Here are the results (I wouldn't be upset with any of these). I also missed an OT in the last one, but how the pieces fell there wasn't one rated within 15 slots when I was picking. There were no trades, and if there were I would have attempted several moves. Also, even though I tried to go by team needs as listed, 2 of the 3 had TE as a need, and I don't see that as much of a need as other slots picked. There is solid depth at TE, especially with the addition of Fells.

I will admit that near the bottom of the drafts was a little bit of guess work for me.
