lol! Well check back a couple pages...I was so hurt when I didn't get your approval, I just couldn't...
I agree. But then I think we disagree on Crabtree to a point. I mean I believe he could start year 2. But even in year 4, he’ll never be your best O-lineman. For me he’s a decent 7th rounder, simply to maximize the value of that pick. I took him for Dallas with the thought process of A) he’s cheap for 4 years B) You don’t have to straight up panic if your starting RG or RT is going to miss 2-3 weeks. Just adjust your gameplan slightly, extra chips and an extra 1-2 screens per game. By year 3 who knows. Maybe if he’s your 4th or 5th best starter, you possibly have an excellent overall OL
Be yourself and be honest... You call the shots and any input, whether positive or negative, is ok by me... that's how I learn. You probably know more of Ballage than I. I just went with some of the banter being spewed by some of the so-called experts, who are mostly legends in their own minds anyway, lol. Your right about Zimmer. I hope a kid from Toledo, whether its Adeniyi or Woodside type can catch a break and succeed in todays NFL. The Coach and system will be key. Speaking of Toledo and the NFL, check this out...
Board is caught up. I busied myself telling Torgo how awesome I am, and forgot to get after my job.... Ooops
I like this draft. It looks like good value on Sutton and Conklin. It's nice to have a bunch of high picks. My favourite part is you didn't take Josh Allen at 1.
I would like to clarify something. When I said "so called experts" and "legends in their own minds" previously, I never meant to slight anyone here. I was strictly referring to the several web-sites that I have 'book-marked' for prospect rankings and Draft analysis. When I went back and read how Tim had Ballage ranked, I had an 'oh what the fuck moment' and didn't want to have any misunderstanding here. I honestly had no idea that Ballage was ranked that high. Sure hope I didn't come off as an arrogant asshole or make anyone feel belittled... my bad. One of those damn type before I think moments... and I promise to pay attention to detail a bit better, thanks.
Way to find the one clip where an arm tackle doesn't bring him down. But just to be a stubborn ass, the only guy behind him working against his momentum on this play is a 190 pound safety, and his whole line is basically pushing him forward. Plus, he's moving backwards, where it's easier to use thigh muscles for momentum, hence the crazy amounts of weight people can squat that they can't bench press. I'm just saying, my opinion based on 3 tapes I watched (take that all for whatever it means to you individually) is that he will never be a #1 RB. If a creative OC can get him running screens and outside stuff, maybe he can be a productive #2. But you will notice I drafted him in zero mocks this year. That's the impression he left on me.
I sure didn't take it as a shot Will. I think you clearly meant guys like Kiper, and Zierlein, and Rob whatever his name is, and those other 8 guys. There are so many websites now, and we have all as a group acknowledged the discrepancies between their grading already. It's clearly an armchair GM's game these days.
