Depending on system fit, Allen at 5(30) is one of the biggest steals of this draft. I thought hard about trying to trade up to get him but decided against giving up my remaining three picks to make that move.
I took him in the 6/7th for Dallas in the GMO. I think he’s worth a 7th. All a matter of interpretation/taste in rounds 6-7. I believe he might be a serviceable RT after a year. Even watching the real draft, I find teams reach like crazy on CBs (imo) as early as the 3rd, to get their flavour of guy, or their top sleeper. Other positions too, but at least based on my projected big board, the CB position might be the worst offender.

Possibly a serviceable *backup* RT after a year, but I wouldn't start him in 2019. For me, that's the dividing line between the mid/late rounders and the top UDFAs. They're all potential future starters or you wouldn't bother with them. It's only a question of how much of their rookie contract you'd burn getting them to that point. If you project a guy as challenging for a starting role in year two, he's a draft pick. If you don't see him as a real candidate until year three, sign him as a UDFA, plan to let him redshirt a year on the practice squad, and use the draft pick on someone else.
I was pretty excited to get him there. Vrabel has said that he wants to run a hybrid defense, so I'm hoping he'd find a way to get Allen's talents on the field.
Well I like the Brown pick. And you sniped the shit out of me on Lazard (top snipe award goes to...). And Adeniyi is an interesting developmental guy. He could pay off with the right coaching. I think Zimmer is a great guy for him. Is now a good time though to go on record, and say all the Ballage supporters are nuts? I’ve never seen a guy his size, with his attributes go down so easy. I could tackle him. I don’t know how you can teach him to play like a baller if he doesn’t feel like one. For future reference, should I lead with the positives, or the negatives? Will...?
