The buffalo and winnipeg presses would all I have to go by on. Teammates in winnipeg turning on him and fighting in practice in buffalo, with the other guy yelling about how selfish he is.

I know I've seen Kane get a little dirty / carried away on the ice before, and the Panthers players certainly didn't have any love for him in their after-game press conferences (you don't usually see a guy called out by name). But, I don't have an indication that he's a bad teammate. I think Buffalo might've been a bad gauge for that. I've been with one particular group where it was a very hostile relationship, but I've never had that issue anywhere else. The differing nature of how we approached things made for a bad fit from the get-go, and they would tell you I'm not a great dude - but they'd be in the minority (this anecdote obviously pertaining to Kane in Buffalo).

I know Dan, I was being sarcastic. This is why I was surprised Kane went for so little at the trade deadline. A lot of teams could use a player like Kane. Even at the risk of losing him as a rental, he was worth the risk.

didn't his Sabres teammates throw all of his civilian clothes into the showers and turn the water on ?

BFD. If all you have to go on is the local presses then you are left in the vulnerable position of accepting the veracity of what they're trying to sell, err report.

He was disliked immensley in the peg, specifically by dustin bufyglien. In buffalo, it could be true that he was well liked, but from what I hear, for the wrong reasons. He was a fun guy to hang out with, no specific benefits to making the team better. Yes, there was one little incident at practice, I won't conclude anything from that in comparing it to the winnipeg fiasco.

Tonight will be my first look at Washington and Columbus in these Playoffs... looking forward to it. I like the BJ's in this one too.

Sharks eating up the Ducks, art imitating life.
Ducks have been a real letdown, really thought they were built for playoff hockey the past few seasons

But, you have repeated this on several occasions. Stop beating a dead horse. Phil Housley is on record that he actually likes to see some testiness between teammates on a horrible team.

Winnipeg is in it's own special place of approbation.

The player that fought with Kane called him selfish during the scrum, make of it what you will, just putting it out there.

Not even close. The Ducks were embarrassed last night and it showed in their frustration. They look lost a lot of the time.

Your repetition of the exact same little thing over numerous months leads inexorably to the conclusion that you think there's something to it.

Deny the coaches comments. Deny the very nature of human interaction in an organization that is not achieving what they should.

Otherwise, stop condescending about what I should think about it. You are beating a dead horse with an obvious intent to denigrate E. Kane's reputation.

This ^^^ is the type of slander that the media picks up on. Media hounds will jump all over something for no reason. E. Kane has had some transgressions and he might not have enjoyed losing, but I still would welcome him in Vancouver.

I'm just taking a side, nothing more. I'm on the side that believes his trade value took a hit because of his supposed rep. It's just an opinion/take.

I see both sides of the E Kane thing. There does seem to be baggage but is it real or is it a story for lennie to lazily pump out time and again?
I’m with Rediis, I’d welcome him for sure, he’d be a perfect Bruin. Let Rick Nash walk and sign up the kid that KOd Matt Cooke not long after the Savard incident.

Fwiw, Patrick Kane is much more of an a-hole than Evander Kane. Funny how winning a couple Cups can erase memories.

I really am not privy to Evander Kane. I don't know him, but if I was Jim Benning I would find out.
