That would be me.....Going back to a couple years before he was fired from the Plain Dealer. His negativity was at an all time high and all I did was suggest he put a little more positive spin on SOME of his articles. "BLOCKED"
1. Lock in wide receiver for the Cowboys' pick. 2. No, I don't want Dez Bryant to be a Cleveland Brown.
I do, he is what we are missing on the opposite side of the field. I don't need the 1300 yard 16 TD version of Bryant...If he got 800 yards and 6 TDs, that would add to Josh's 1200 yards 12 TDs and Landry's 1000 yards 8 TDs and Duke's 400 yards 6 TDs...With Bryant across from Gordon, Tyrod could throw for more yards and TDs than he has ever had in his career(3000 yards, 20 TDs). Imagine giving Tyrod 5 weapons to throw to in Gordon, Landry, Bryant, Duke, Njoku...plus everyone else that subs in.. He has never really had a legitimate weapon to speak of, other than young draft picks who never realized potential. In 2017, Tyrod's two biggest targets were Charles Clay and LeSean McCoy, #3 Deonte Thompson In 2016, Tyrod's two biggest targets were Charles Clay and Robert Woods (no longer in Buffalo), #3 Sammy Watkins (no longer in Buffalo) In 2015, Tyrod's two biggest targets were Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods, #3 Charles Clay None of those receivers are what is considered Red Zone Target receivers... The Browns Red Zone Target receivers if they had Dez: Gordon, Njoku and Bryant... Really, it depends on if anyone is willing to sign Bryant to #1 money...if so, let it go. He's well beyond his #1 receiver days. He is a #3 and needs to be paid as such if he's going to stay in the league..Can't sign him to an incentive laden contract or all he'll do is cry all year about getting the ball... Yeah, scrap everything I said above...Let this one pass.
It was reported earlier in the offseason that Gronk had one demand to be met in order to return - that Tom Brady was his QB. If he's getting traded, that puts an end to that. Asking price, in this case, would have to be exceptionally low - like when the Patriots got Randy Moss for a fourth round pick. Bill's already said he won't trade with the Browns, so there goes my offer of a fifth rounder for him. Some team could get a steal if this is true.
Couple #DraftSzn notes: New York Giants "unlikely" to trade #2 overall pick New York Jets (#3) will select Baker Mayfield if he's there Denver Broncos (#5) would like to trade down Chicago Bears (#8) would like to trade down
http://www.cleveland.com/browns/ind..._draft_2018_prospects_t.html#incart_big-photo I agree with some of that....posted it because I agree 100% that the #1 guy on the list, would be a ridiculous gamble at #1 overall...The Browns taking Allen #1 really would be about the same as a MLB batter digging in at the plate , closing his eyes, and swinging from his heels for the fences...
Only way I don't go Baker Mayfield at #1 is if we trade the pick for this guy. And if anyone saw Bill Barnwell's obnoxious article (here) about the 2018 mock draft were every pick was traded, the Browns gave up the farm for Andrew Luck (I nearly vomited blood). This is one of those crazy QB trades that would not only make me happy, but it's one that I would legitimately be on board with giving up the farm for. In that article, Browns traded #1, #4, #35, and 2019's first round pick for Andrew Luck (who can't throw a football and was only average when at 100% health) and #6 overall. Swap Andrew Luck for Aaron Rodgers and I don't even require their first rounder this year in compensation and you've got yourself a deal.
I wonder what this is in reference to... could be his cousin dissing him... could be football related... It's amazing how we hang on every tweet from athlete's.
