Holy shit Tim LMAO. We both had each other's back up option for these picks.

I'm still finishing scores for defense but these guys are really close in totals right now. Positions of need for both rosters and high value picks at this point in the draft.

I've been trying to trade up for Burks last night but no takers. Worked out I guess.

lol! I think we've been mock drafting long enough, we start to know tendencies...After I mentioned that xinik sniped me on the Safety yesterday, I had my plan B (Armani Watts) cue'd up and ready to go. While in trade negotiations with RT, he already knew who I was gonna take...

Honestly, Warner was one of those guys that when I watched his tape I had trouble getting a feel for him, or his fit. I was bit underwhelmed and just kind of moved on to other prospects. I think I only watched two games.

Not even exactly that I knew YOU would take him. Just with the guys still available I knew there was a great chance he was the next Safety name on several boards.

Fun fact: We just began round 5, and the Browns have added 11 players so far...

If I start making it a competition, the Colts might be able to compete. I've made 9.

I'm definitely not used to this. But I like it. Colts usually pick between 24-30 and have zero extra picks. We've been horrible at the compensatory game. And haven't traded back for anything extra more than maybe once in the last 5 years. I would try to play it like SF did during Harbaugh's tenure, always add an extra pick between rounds 2-4 and then just find value.

I'm just looking back and it's crazy to see we had 6 1st round QBs and the only one since came at the end of the 4th round. We've had 9 go by the end of the 4th round in the other 2 mocks.

I was literally just thinking the same thing. Personally, this class is SUPER top heavy. (And I don't like half the 1st rounders)

Having a boat-load of draft picks is not the ideal position to be in, I suppose. And when it comes to boat-loads, the Vikings know what their talkin' about!!!

It was fun as hell being the Colts in the last mock. I made 7 picks in less than 100 selections in.

See I think the perfect scenario is this. It's give or take what I would aim for every year. I would try (barring obsession with a prospect in reach) to move back 5-15 picks in round 1 or 2 to gain an extra pick between rounds 2-4 either this year or next. Try again to move back and gain another pick between rounds 4-6. In the end my goal is start every draft with 9-10 picks, use 1 or 2 to trade up for guys you don't want to risk missing out on. And use another 1 or 2 to move back where it makes sense to add the extra ammo again that I crave for next draft.

Never start a draft with less than 8. And rarely ever end a draft picking more than 9 or 10.

Man, that reminds me...of just how bad I feel for certain WR's. You get to watching WR tape, and guys like Chark, St. Brown, D.J. Moore, you just feel for. They put all this effort into practice. All this effort into creating some separation, and risk their butts to head into coverage, and their QB's just CAN NOT give them a half decent pass. It is awful. Moore's tape especially. He was tough to scout in a sense because he would create 2 yards of separation, but then have to stop dead in his tracks, and reach backwards to compete with the defender for a horribly thrown pass.

I scouted a WR for Minnesota last year I felt the same way about. Mitch Leidner I think threw a lot of those passes. Just a rough life for some of these wideouts. It would be hard to stay motivated at times.
