Thanks for making the pick. After landing Barkley and Lamar Jackson in the first a proper FB seemed like a smart move at this point. Jackson, Barkley and Flowers in the backfield OBJ out wide and a mix of Evan Engram, Sterling Sheppard and Rhett Ellison? This offense will make the greatest show on turf look boring...
BROWNS SELECT P.J. HALL, DT - SAM HOUSTON STATE Sometimes the NFL makes mistakes. I'm not sure how this guy didn't get a Combine invite, but looking at his Pro Day, he clearly deserved one. When the Browns brought him in for private workout/interview last week, I had to research. Came away very impressed. Check out some of the numbers from this physical freak at his Pro Day: From 3/26/18 6'0/308 lbs 40 yd dash: 4.73 20 yard dash: 2.78 10 yard dash: 1.70 225 lb bench: 36 reps Vertical jump: 38" Broad jump: 9'8" 20 yard shuttle: 4.77 3 cone drill: 7.92 I think he's got a legit shot to come off the board day 2......Absolutely dominated in the Southland conference as you might expect.
Since it’s kinda quiet I’m just killing some time Redskins 1 NT Vita Vea 2 SS Ronnie Harrison 4 ILB Nick Deluca 4 >> 2019 3rd I have admittedly put more effort into my Colts exercise than my Redskins. But I did put enough effort in to know their biggest FA moves were a large deal for WR Paul Richardson (SEA), a 2 year pact with CB Orlando Scandrick, and re-upping with one of their bright spots last year in LB Zach Brown. Also the reason I didn’t start with a 3rd or Kendall Fuller > the acquisition of new starting QB Alex Smith. They finished 2017 dead last in the NFL in run defense, which did impact my decisions through rounds 1 and 2. Vea is a sneaky athletic mountain who will eat up blockers between Jonathan Allen and recent quality find Matt Ioannidis. This should give them a top notch DL, allowing them to build behind it going forward. S Harrison will scare RBs and WRs alike who try to produce between the hashes. I traded back from the early 4th to double my selections, converting one into Buffalos 3rd rounder in next years draft, and adding what I think will be a quality producer to the aging LB squad inside with Nick Deluca, a small school guy who I thought had really good instincts on tape. I have another 4 selections left with which I likely go BPA in an effort to build talented depth. I’ll probably look to give Alex Smith a little attention somewhere
The shuttle and 3-cone don’t make you drool, but every number from the vertical up look like they belong to a different position group. 4.73 is impressive. And is the vertical a typo? That’s crazy. I was kind of impressed with his tape too.
Yeah, the vert and the 40 just blew me away...I thought the same thing. Couldn't find much film to watch, but what I did find was what you'd expect. He was so quick, even at 300 pounds, he played at DE early on...Pretty special athlete.
While we wait on Seattle, Skins are on deck. We would consider trading back if it meant still being in the 5th and adding a pick. Lemme know
Steelers checking in for pick coming up. May be interested in moving down if someone ends up being a butthole by sniping my guy!
lol, I have two guys here that I flipped a coin on. I'm guessing Joe would have more interest in the other one.
Meh, I've still got a few selections in front of me. For now, I'm just reviewing film on the guy I like to make sure I actually want to pick him. XD
