  1. Underdog Franchise Player Patriots

Not without collectively bargaining it with the players' union first.

Exactly. So you offer them an NFL sponsored platform to promote their causes in a time slot other than the National Anthem.

Halftime perhaps? Fewer talking heads . . . Increased social awareness. Its a Win - Win.

I'm actually kind of surprised that the league has not made a move in this direction.

It would be extremely beneficial to them both in exposure and financially to come up with a solution that makes all parties feel as though they are being heard and respected.

Protesting during the National Anthem is costing the league money. I don’t think any court would force you to lose money for the sake of protest, when said protesters are being paid millions of dollars.

Charlie Casserly polls 24 GMs and asks them to rank the Top 4 QBs 1-4. Pretty good segment...

Interesting, but I would have really liked to see what a 32 team vote would have looked like. I imagine the margins would be similar, but you just never know...

I would have also liked to see them rank the top 6.

It's a done deal now - Dez is gone.

I'm...okay with the move. He wasn't the player he was from 2012-2014, yet he was getting a king's ransom in pay. He just isn't worth that kind of money anymore - 3 years is a pretty big sample size, and he's been nothing more than a good #2 WR since the 2014 season. Can't pay #2 WRs $16 mil.

That said, it DOES leave a void at WR for Dallas. The best WR on the team is now...either T-Will or Allen Hurns...?

could they have asked Dez to restructure or take a pay cut? to cut him outright seems like a good hit for the cap, but bad hit as you said for WR production.

but didn't Kap say his kneeling was not to dishonor any Military personnel, but rather draw awareness to Police brutality? The ones outraged over the Kap incident are mad for the wrong reasons? Kap is not kneeling to disrespect the military or the anthem. He's kneeling to bring awareness to Police brutality. So how can the NFL or a individual team's owner make a player do something i.e. stand for the anthem and honor the military, that Kap is not really against in the first place ?

There’s been little buzz around free agent quarterback Mark Sanchez, and a looming suspension may be the reason.

Sanchez has been suspended for the first four games of the 2018 season, the NFL announced.

The suspension was for a violation of the league policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Sanchez spent the 2017 season in Chicago but never got on the field, staying behind first Mike Glennon and then Mitch Trubisky. A year earlier he played in Dallas. His last start was in 2015 with the Eagles.

The only team known to have shown interest in Sanchez this offseason is the Seahawks, where he could be reunited with his college coach, Pete Carroll. It’s unclear whether the suspension is the reason the Seahawks didn’t sign him after reports last month that they were considering him as Russell Wilson‘s backup. (PFT)

Catfish kneeling is hurting the NFL’s ratings. So fuck the kneelers. And Dez was asked to take a pay cut, he didn’t and they cut him

Fuck the uber alles nationalists who participate in their own political agendas before a sporting event. McCarthyism is NOT dead.

Don’t blame me that you (in general) think it’s sooooooo great to die for your country. Your country doesn’t give a fuck. It will be whatever it is gonna be whether you fought for it, jacked off or just watched it on tv. Seriously.

What exactly have you done for your country, Frank? (other than keep a dozen or so narc agents gainfully employed)
