Hold the phone....Bridgewater could easily be a starter this year... AND Wait for it RGIII was just signed by the Ravens, so with Joe having one of his worst seasons as a pro, he could be starting sooner than later.
You beat me to it! I was also going to say, he instantly becomes the best QB on the Raven's squad. Joe Flacco is garbage.
^^^^^ So three-team trades don't really happen in the NFL, but... Browns-Bills-Giants mega deal Browns get #2, #12, #53, Odell Beckham Jr. Bills get #4, #35 Giants get #1, #22 From a trade value chart, it's perfect swap for Cleveland/Buffalo. For the Giants, they get their second first round pick and apply a trade value of 1,180 to OBJ... roughly equal to #13 overall.
Don’t pick a QB in the top 5. Cleveland is screwed.they have to get out of the top 5 to get a QB that can win the SB. But they need a good QB just to move out of the top 5 in the draft.
So ignoring for a moment the plight of a team drafting in the Top 5 anyhow... 2006: Vince Young 2007: JaMarcus Russell 2008: Matt Ryan 2009: Matt Stafford, Mark Sanchez* 2010: Sam Bradford 2011: Cam Newton 2012: Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin* 2014: Blake Bortles 2015: Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota 2016: Jared Goff*, Carson Wentz* 2017: Mitch Trubisky ... that's your sample size. Yuck. *Teams traded UP to get the QB. 2016 started to give us the new blueprint whereby you need to have a team in place around the quarterback position to help develop that young player on their rookie contract. It should be clear that that's how Sashi Brown began and how John Dorsey will finish the job.
It just shows how rare good QBs really are. People bring up Dak Prescott as an example of how to get a QB later in the draft, but he was drafted by a team that probably could have plugged in several different guys and had success. When losing some of his help, he struggled and could not carry the team. It doesn't detract from the fact that as evaluators, if you have the #1 overall pick, you have a distinct advantage in being able to choose THE ONE that stands out above all others. Luckily in this draft, there is ONE QB that does just that...now we need to see if they are smart enough to ignore the stigmas and choose him over the other ones that will become a statistic on that list above.

@SAS... @Irish... Is this your handy work? https://www-sbnation-com.cdn.amppro...rnold-projections-hype?amp_js_v=0.1#webview=1
I don't know how you found this, but it explains a lot of what I see... Here is just one piece that puts it all into perspective as current NFL player comparisons: I have stated until I was blue in the face, Josh Allen is DeShone Kizer and should not be touched before the second round, which is where I had Kizer going last year as well..It also shows exactly where I had the two Josh's ...the bottom of this year's QB list... There is ONE CLEAR CUT PROSPECT IN THIS DRAFT. I don't know what else to say, I've grown weary regurgitating all the evidence which is mountains of information...yet, so many detractors refuse to recognize that one candidate stands head and shoulders above the rest. All I can hope for is that the Browns brass makes the right decision...otherwise, I will wear out my welcome with God, praying each day for our entire team to strive to be their best version of themselves, for that's the only way this team will improve to the point we want to be. #MayfieldOrNothing
