Too be honest, I really forgot about them. My 3.5 brain cells are always failing me. I would place Dallas on that list above the Packers. But, atleast you were there to give them a plug, that's what this is all about and it is early and predictions are just that... nothing too serious just opinions that can and will change. I feel guilty now. How dare me forget the Cowboys!!! (by the way, i'd never forget the Cowboys nor do I forgive them for that big catch against the Vikings back in the day. I have Drew Pearson nightmares!)
NFC will be tough this season. The Seahawks could still be noisy too. You got the Rams Eagles Vikings Falcons Panthers Saints Seahawks Cowboys Redskins 49ers haven’t lost a game with Garropolo
to me- Minny is hot on the Eagles tail feathers with Cousins. Top 3 - Eagles, Vikings and Rams. If Wentz gets hurt again, look out. I really think it's a 3 team race for supremacy in the conference. I don't give the other teams much of a chance to even come near these 3. If Wentz was 100% healthy, I give the Eagles a little separation over Minny and LA.
The 49ers are a team everyone is forgetting. I think they will fight the Rams all the way to week 17. And they could win the west.
That's the thing... there are a lot of really good football teams in the NFC, but that just means parody and they will beat the snot out of each other. The cream should rise to the top tho.
As I said there are a ton of teams with a legit shot. I like the Packers for some reason and the Vikings. I can easily see Atlanta falling out for Dallas if I had to pick my first alternative for my prediction, especially with having to play the Panthers twice.
Probably due to the fact Prescott wasn't that great last year. I think Joe posted earlier that there isn't much difference between the top 10 NFC teams. Cowboys are a team to watch, they could finish anywhere from 1-3 in the division. Pretty tough to have a good prediction before the draft. How many of the teams crowned offseason champions end up missing the playoffs? Rams have had a pretty active free agency period, but that team has maybe 2 seasons together. No way can you pay all their top guys, plus they've traded away quite a few top picks so they likely won't be able to replenish what they they will inevitably lose. On paper they are no worse than the number 3 team. Will it translate on the field this season? Wouldn't be the first "dream team" to fall on its face...
If it were the AFC maybe. I'm sticking to my guns of the counter hot take I made at the end of last season. Everyone was saying the 49ers are making it. I don't think they are but the Seahawks falling to pieces might help them get closer than I thought. The NFC is just too good for the 49ers to make it in one season, even if Jimmy is undefeated so far.
The Seahawks and Cardinals could help the 49ers find a WC. Thats 4 games they should be favored in. I can see them making the Post season, especially if teams like the Falcons or Packers falter.
The post season will look like this: AFCE Patriots AFCN Steelers AFCS Texans AFCW Broncos AFCWC Jaguars Chiefs NFCE Eagles NFCN Vikings NFCW 49ers NFCS Saints NFCWC Rams Cowboys
I can see it, I just don't think they are, plus depending on when the games are played I wouldn't know if the 49ers would be favoured on the road vs those teams. If Bradford is competent the Cardinals can do things with David Johnson back and Seattle is always tough at home.
Really don't see the 49ers taking the West from the Rams. Could happen, but if the Rams are even close to what they were on offense last season they should be more than enough to take the division from the 49ers.
I think the 49ers topple the Rams myself. For one I think the Rams were a bit of an illusion last year (I don't think they are as good as their record was). I also think they will find grabbing pieces and plugging them in doesn't always work. While Eagles fans will scream no respect for the champs its all moot anyways as the Saints are going to come out of the NFC as the Super Bowl rep next season.
Ravens will soon be signing Robert Griffin... I hear he had a good workout... Newsome says he will sign him.
Lions sign Matt Cassel as Matt Stafford’s backup The well-traveled Matt Cassel will make his next stop in Detroit. The Lions are signing Cassel to serve as Matthew Stafford‘s backup, NFL Network reports. Cassel spent the last two seasons in Tennessee and started one game each year. Prior to that he was in Dallas, Buffalo, Minnesota, Kansas City and New England. In Detroit, Cassel joins a quarterback room that includes both Stafford and 2016 sixth-round pick Jake Rudock, as well as camp arm Alek Torgersen. The No. 2 quarterback competition will likely come down to a training camp competition between Cassel and Rudock. Lions coach Matt Patricia and G.M. Bob Quinn both spent time with Cassel in New England and apparently think he’ll be a positive veteran presence in the locker room — even if they hope Stafford stays healthy and Cassel never actually gets on the field. http://www.philly.com/philly/sports...-pitch-roy-halladay-video-watch-20180405.html Doug Pederson brings the Super Bowl Trophy to the Phils Home Opener. He throws out the first pitch, a strike, while wearing a Roy Halladay #34 jersey. Halladay, died last November in a plane crash. This guy is all class man and can do no wrong!
I'm anxious to see how Jimmy performs now that there is actually tape out there for opposing teams to study. And in Shanahan's offense.
