Starting quarterbacks... Aaron Rodgers - 6'2" Jimmy Garoppolo - 6'2" Dak Prescott - 6'2" Deshaun Watson - 6'2" Mitch Trubisky - 6'2" Patrick Mahomes - 6'2" Derek Carr - 6'2" Teddy Bridgewater - 6'2" Matt Stafford - 6'2" Robert Griffin - 6'2" Andy Dalton - 6'2" Tyrod Taylor - 6'1" (John Dorsey traded for him) Case Keenum - 6'1" Drew Brees - 6'0" Russell Wilson - 5'11" 15 out of 32 starting QBs are 6'2" or under.
Content originally from @DownWithDamon Twitter user, and this is going to be (I hope) my last Josh Allen post. Allen's single-most productive game of his career was against UNLV. Here's the line: 334 yards (366 total yards), 4 TD, 2 INT, 45.2% comp., 165.3 rating J.T. Barrett, who even the OSU fans among us agree isn't getting drafted, went: 209 yards, 5 TD, 0 INT, 70.6% comp., 270.9 rating And Cam Newton's little brother with Howard university (no "supporting cast" excuse there): 330 total yards, 3 total TD, 1 INT, 57.7% comp., 107.9 rating Allen should be taken at #52 overall like Kizer was in 2017 and will likely be out of the league sooner.
SAS??? 15 of 32 Starting QBs? If those 15 are considered starters there are a hell of a lot more than 32 starters.
Bob G WAS a starter and a Pro-Bowler, albeit not last season. Teddy B was a starter until his freak knee explosion. It is not really an outlandish list. He didn't throw out names like Matt Gutierrez, Matt Flynn, David Fales, or Charlie Frye (I know they don't all meet the height requirement, but the point is they're not and were never really starters) those guys on the list were legitimate starters and held their own for a time.
That wasn't my point if you read the full sentence... I never said there were guys who weren't starters at some point on that list, but if you are going to count all those guys you have to include a list of at least 40 starting QBs.
Fair enough. But 6’2” isn’t 6’0”. Just looking at this list tells me that 6’2” is some artificial cut off for QBs Getting drafted in rd 1. Obviously Mayfield will get picked in the first round of the draft. He won’t be the first overall pick.
And if he is, you'll stay off the Browns boards forever? If he isn't I'll stay off the Steelers boards forever?
It has been said on here (or another thread) that he should be listed at 6'1'', as the 6006 format is not utilized literally anywhere else.
Thank you... I was picking out drafted quarterbacks and left Bridgewater and Griffin in on accident. But let's play the game... AFC North CLE: Tyrod Taylor - 6'1" CIN: Andy Dalton - 6'2" BAL: Joe Flacco - 6'6" PIT: Ben Roethsliberger - 6'5" AVG: 6'3 1/2" AFC East BUF: A.J. McCarron - 6'3" NYJ: Josh McCown / Teddy Bridgewater - 6'4" / 6'2" MIA: Ryan Tannehill - 6'4" NE: Tom Brady - 6'5" AVG: 6'4" AFC West KC: Patrick Mahomes - 6'2" OAK: Derek Carr - 6'2" DEN: Case Keenum - 6'1" LAC: Philip Rivers - 6'5" AVG: 6'2 1/2" AFC South JAX: Blake Bortles - 6'5" IND: Andrew Luck / Jacoby Brissett - 6'4" HOU: Deshaun Watson - 6'2" TEN: Marcus Mariota - 6'4" AVG: 6'3 3/4" NFC North GBP: Aaron Rodgers - 6'2" CHI: Mitch Trubiksy - 6'2" DET: Matt Stafford - 6'2" MIN: Kirk Cousins - 6'3" AVG: 6'2 1/4" NFC East NYG: Eli Manning - 6'5" PHI: Carson Wentz - 6'5" WAS: Alex Smith - 6'4" DAL: Dak Prescott - 6'2" AVG: 6'4" NFC West LAR: Jared Goff - 6'4" SFO: Jimmy Garoppolo - 6'2" SEA: Russell Wilson - 5'11" ARI: Sam Bradford - 6'4" AVG: 6'2 1/4" NFC South NO: Drew Brees - 6'0" TAM: Jameis Winston - 6'4" CAR: Cam Newton - 6'5" ATL: Matt Ryan - 6'5" AVG: 6'3" 13 - possibly 14 - starters are 6'2" or shorter. The average height among all 33 is 6'3".
You’re making it easy for me. Thank you. Not one of those QBs that is under 6’2” was drafted in the first round. Mayfield will be the only QB in the whole league under 6’2” drafted in rd1. He won’t be the first overall pick.
It's about education and changing minds...Someone will be the first, and it's GOING to be Baker Mayfield. Who ever gets the kid, will have my vote for being a perennial playoff contender in 2019 and beyond... Edit: I sure as hell hope it's the Browns with the #1 overall pick, because he won't be available at #4...
I don’t spend a lot of time on the Browns boards normally anyways. This season there is nobody doing anything draft related on the Steelers board. Usually we have a couple of good prospect threads going and the Mel but wiper kiper sucks thread. So the Browns site actually looks like the best team site going predraft this season.
NY, Burghball were the main contributors, beach did a great job last season, but no one has done anything this year. NY and Burghball were two of the best at predraft evaluations. Tim does great evaluations but he doesn’t have the time to micromanage it like NY would.
