I'm curious to see how Tim graded out this guy. Very few had a better combine....He played his H.S. ball just down the road about 15 minutes from me. Helluva running back. Granted, our local team sucked, but they hung a 77-0 on us...That burns in the memory a little. He's a 4 star recruit that could have played anywhere. Really bright kid: THE CLEVELAND BROWNS SELECT Godwin Igwebuike, S - Northwestern
Best SPARQ scores from the #NFLCombine: 1. 2. Mike Gesicki, PSU 3. Saquon Barkley, PSU 4. Denzel Ward, OSU 5. T6. D.J. Moore, Maryland T6. Taven Bryan, Florida 8. Kolton Miller, UCLA 9. Godwin Igwebuike, Northwestern 10. LVE, Boise St
Of all the things you can measure on tape and at the combine, I think I probably put the least stock in the value of Sparq scores.
Just another thing to look at...Some players on that list I really like. Would you not agree that there are some impressive athletes on the list? That's what SPARQ measures. Athleticism...
They already keep separate numbers for every drill run. And different drills results are more-or-less significant for different positions. So I’m not sure what value Sparq has ultimately. For the lazy Gm after round 3 maybe, who asks his right hand man, “what remaining target has the highest Sparq?”... The evolution of the Al Davis special
ok...well whatever you say RT. lol! Obviously some people see relevance in using a sport specific formula to measure things like speed, power, agility reaction time etc...But if you don't like it, you don't have to acknowledge it...How's that?
Opinions are like asshole. They all stink. Unless you wax them, then bring them from a dull satin to a nice gloss finish.
Apologies for gumming up the works - totally forgot about my 10:30 pick while watching ‘Nova last night.
