Blanding is on a long list of safeties I seem to be lower on than most this year. Neon Deion is always bitching about how poor so many DBs ball skills are these days. He’s not wrong. And after some light reading I started scouting the safety class expecting to like half of them. But as a group this year, the tape was like a how-to video for poor run fits and missed tackles. I didn’t even get to my usual 3rd video for probably 4-5 guys. 2 videos was plenty for me to know I wasn’t interested
None. I confess, I only know what I've read on scouting reports. And some say he was already showing signs of slowing down due to heavy workload the last 3 years.....I read somewhere that he has characteristics that say he's comparable to Devonta Freeman.... You know how I love comparisons.....I'm very curious now to see where he gets drafted. My late round gem is Mark Walton...Forget Jones. I got a beer that says Walton gets drafted ahead of Edmunds....

The Freeman comparison is one of the lazier ones I've seen this year. I get why they make it, but it just doesn't fit the player. He had a nagging injury on the year, but when he was healthy there were no signs of slowing. Being a small school player, one analyst makes an observation and then it just gets passed around over and over again without anyone looking to correct them. That Walton/Edmonds draft bet would be a suckers wager. Miami vs Fordham will have interested GMs approaching those two players in completely different manners. I'd be willing to wager some brew on who has the better career, depending on where they end up.

You're going to have to show me where I said Edmonds would be drafted higher than anyone else. I gave my opinion on the player, one that I'm confident in, or else I wouldn't have stated it.
