Hmmmm....Jerome Baker followed by DeSean Hamilton. scratch the top two names off my short list...I hope you guys don't even get an Easter basket.
That's who I was trying to trade up for. He has the physical skills that you just can't teach. Hopefully he can learn to be more tenacious on the field. Great athlete, but his game sort of reminds me of Barkevious Mingo. He just doesn't play with that edge you want in a LB...If he ever turns it on, he could be a special player. Maybe the right coach can get it out of him. Al Holcombe might be it. I like the fit here.....LB coach by nature, and he had the best in the business in Carolina.
@Will Sorry Will. Someone nabbed Sean Welsh not long ago. You were just April Fools-ing us anyways though, right...
Not really... I plugged in Welsh to the search engine, not Walsh... typo got me. I'll have another pick in a moment for the Packers.
Saints 1: CB Jaire Alexander - Athletic and aggressive. Will see targets across from Lattimore 3: TE Ian Thomas - Weapon down the seam and in the redzone. Upgrade on Coby Fleener 4: QB Kyle Lauletta - Developmental heir apparent to Brees > Slated for 2020
Ravens 1: QB Sam Darnold - The Future of the franchise. Quietly slated for 2019 3: RB Kerryon Johnson - Meant to take some weight off the QB's shoulders. Powerful, balanced RB 4: OG Wyatt Teller - Depth on the interior. Actually reminds me a bit of Yanda in style of play
Rams 2: C/G Billy Price - Once healthy, likely starter at a Guard spot until John Sullivan leaves a hole at C 2: LB Uchenna Nwosu - Our wildcard blitzer, and immediate starter inside. Good instincts 4: OLB Duke Ejiofor - Quality run defender might earn some rotational pass-rush snaps 4: WR DaeShon Hamilton - Good route runner adds depth to an emerging WR group
Trying to balance a win now (while Brees is still here) perspective, while not handicapping the future for the Saints. Self-inflicted lack of picks with the Ravens, but I wanted to see what it might look like if we went all-in on our top-rated signal caller and began to build the future for Baltimore. So far my Rams draft feels the most productive, likely due to the extra pick and already present depth on the roster. I like the way the board has fallen for them.
I like both and they were high on my list for next pick. I also think they are a good value at where they were selected here.
