Is it true that Wild fans are up for Wild times? Just how much of a Wild fan are you?
I’m not a Wild fan, but I can get wild.
Sing that song by Bow Wow Wow: “Wild in the Country”.

That’s funny. Thanks for posting that skinny.
I was always a big fan of the Modano curve, a little straighter than the Sakic. The Federov was also an awesome one in my later days. They’re extremely difficult to come across these days, always on the lookout if any of you fellas come across a righty Federov please let me know.

Hahahaha, all these lines are gold, guys. I very much appreciate it. I'm sure I'll work a few in over the course of our conversations. I just told her, "You've won the Panthers fan in me over. The Blackhawks fan still needs some convincing". That got us off on the right foot ;) :p

Matty and Dan, I appreciate the insight. Dan, I hadn't thought about that, regarding protection for the expansion draft. That is a bonus, and you're right - these guys are going to play in the NHL anyway, they're ready, etc. It seems much ado about nothing, my hesitation at the signing late in the year.

As far as Borgstrom's NHL play, there's no doubt some guys have shown up in their first few games in a big way, lately. I have no doubt Borgstrom is capable of that. My only concern is that this team can't afford to lose more games. Last night was already a big blow to their hopes. Being 3 points back, with now only one game in hand on NJ, their fate is no longer theirs - they need to rely on NJ to lose more than Florida. So, if you install Borgstrom and he doesn't come out of the gates hot, you're risking missing out.

It's a gamble that could pay off by adding an infusion of talent, or you could see the young guy have a miscommunication or two that costs the team a game, one way or another (and it'd be totally understandable). This might be much ado about nothing again, but I'm admittedly nervous, with so much on the line.

From the interview with Boughner yesterday, it seems like they want to get him on the ice for the game tonight, but they'll make that determination just prior to gametime, based on what he's shown in the limited time. It's going to be really interesting to see where he fits in the bottom 6. The Panthers have a lot of guys to manage in that grouping.

I had no idea, they never had trademark curves when I played. My choice was a tree branch with either a koho, or ccm insignia on it.

all I know is Sakic put his hand and arm in a snow blower that was on and jammed and almost had his hand cut off.

Flyers get 2 huge points on the road vs the Avs. The Avs were on offense the entire 3rd period. It was like a shooting range out there. And the Flyers lost their goalie again! Enough of Neuvirth and his injuries. Just ride out Lyons and Mzarek. And next year let Sandstrom or Hart forgo the AHL to the NHL please.

Yeah Roman Cechmanek was a wacko and Bryz was the Mayor of Psychoville. The only decent goalie they had was a back-up who got put in a starter role - Brian Boucher. If he didn't get hurt in 2010 in the Conference semi-finals, the Flyers may have beaten Chicago for the Cup. Instead, backup Michael Leighton was the swiss cheese he looked like and gave up 6 goals in game 1 alone. Like Scott Hartnell said "when you score 5 goals in a Stanley Cup Final game, you better win!" They didn't and his soft goal on Kane in OT in game 6 was the end.

The Flyers have 2 future goalie call-ups in Sandstrom and Carter Hart, but they may not be ready till 2020. They have another 4 goalie prospects after these 2, so someone has to work out, don't they? Please?

too bad he didn't retire before the 1997 Cup Finals when he was super swiss and allowed a 40 footer to Yzerman and then watched Darren McCarty go through the entire team like he was Gretzky and score a goal in game 3 or 4 that was basically the nail on the coffin.

Bruins match up pretty well with Tampa. One thing that will get lost in that game was how well Tuukka played, he made a ton of huge saves. Doesnt look like much in the box score, something like 24 saves on 26 shots, but the quality of many of those saves was ridiculous. timing too. Admittedly the TB 2nd goal shouldve been stopped.
Pastrnak with the Gordie Howe hat trick, Bergeron buries a beauty and is back in the G column, Tuukka is lucky Vasilevsky was held up by the officials.
63-37-88 is the best all around line in the game.

Tampa won't go far post-season if vasilevsky isn't at the top of his game. Almost a goalie fight there, tuuka threw some punches at conacher and vasilevsky came across and tried getting in his face but the refs held him back.

I think Vasilevsky wouldve tuned Tuukka up

Hawks finish their game w/ a mens league goalie. im sure we've all seen the "emergency backup" sitting on the bench, well the Hawks had to actually use theirs and he did pretty well. my Vezina vote is going to 36 year old "rookie" Scott Foster.
