So I pulled or strained my Medial Collateral (I always say that in Arnold's voice) Ligament. This is a pain in the butt, I had to teach a bunch of classes last week while standing or trying to contort myself so I could get down on my mat. This takes a a lot of rest to heal and I'm just not very good at resting. Has anyone else had this and if you did, how long did it take to heal?

I haven’t had one, but it should take 6-12 weeks to get back to normal

That's what I'm afraid of. I have already canceled a yoga workshop that I've been hired to do at one of our schools with a pack of 'very energetic' kindergartners. Even though the gig is over a month away I don't want to leave the teacher without an instructor on that day.

I do have classes all week but my clients are adults and they will understand why I'm not on my mat demonstrating poses.

I hope it's not that long a recovery though. I'm really careful and I have my knee taped but every once in awhile I rotate my knee and the pain is enough to drop me.

[IMG]Have one tablespoon of this mixed into a glass of water three times a day, very healthy.

I have been drinking ACV, organic honey and water for years. It's really good for you!

So I finally took the step and I got back on my mat last night and taught my class the way I normally do, matching pose for pose with my clients. My knee felt pretty good afterwards so it was the right decision to make. This morning's class was a little easier to do and I'm hoping that tonight's class will move me even more forward. It's amazing how quickly your muscles forget what they're supposed to do. I believe that muscle memory only lasts about 2 weeks.

I've started training with Aaron Downey who lives down the road from me. Aaron played hockey with the Montreal Canadiens, the Chicago Blackhawks and won the Stanley Cup with the Detroit Redwings in 2006-2007. He's been helping me recover from a strained Medial Collateral Ligament in my knee. I thought that you might be interested in seeing his work. He's developed a stretching kit made from cedar which is a natural element to roll with.

That area is developing quickly (bondhead, tottenham, angus, alliston, beeton).

It really is. Brampton is almost connected to Orangeville and Shelburne is getting spill-over residents. Talk about taxing the infrastructure though, I don't think the were looking far enough ahead before they built 2 brand new subdivisions and there is another one that they are breaking ground for right now.

I think bramptons been maxed out now all the way into orangeville and caledon. Moving east you have innisfil and bradford just south of barrie and into newmarket. Pretty soon, very little farmland except for the marsh.

It's definitely a different landscape now then what it was years ago. I especially noticed the difference when I taught in Orangeville. A lot of gang-related behaviour because of the influx of people from Toronto and Brampton moving north.

Definitely different demographic, I found that to be the case in burlington too. Supposedly there's a big opiod crisis there, people dying everyday. You can't compare these towns to the way they were 25 years ago. I think you would have to go into muskoka for that, probably sauble beach.
