I like how JuJu Smith-Schuster is known for his antics and celebrations in the NFL. Clearly, Sam did a wonderful job getting through to him. I wonder if he's glad he got away from USC? *Whispers* JuJu had a tremendously better season with Cody Kessler throwing him the football than with Sam Darnold throwing it.
I just don't see the need to celebrate doing something you're paid to do. Especially when your team is down by a considerable amount and some diva WR or RB drops the ball and signals "1st down". It's a TEAM game in its purest form. I just don't care for the "look at ME" antics. To each their own.
Huh? Is this real? I'm not sure if he's speaking glowingly about Mayfield, or if he's trying to insult him...
Technically, he was complaining that JuJu was doing that in college and they're not technically "paid".
The reason I ask - If it's practice, I have no problem with the leader of the offense choosing to focus and work throughout what could be a limited amount of time.
I don't know that TD celebrations are necessary at practice....But if a guy shows passion and intensity in honing his craft, it's not a bad thing. We don't know what all the details were. Maybe Juju had a spirited battle going against the top CB....Hell, I've seen grown men get emotional over video games. It's about competition. It's just human nature sometimes...Without knowing all the parameters of the situation, laying judgement seems shortsighted at best...
I once did a full break-dance celebration after my crew successfully delivered and placed John Lennon’s Piano back into Yoko’s bedroom... I did it right in front of her.
