Jerrick McKinnon averaged nearly the same amount of yards from scrimmage in his four starts and had two more touchdowns than Dalvin did.
^^^^^ Cody Kessler will be released (obviously) because Baker wears #6. Means Kevin Hogan is gone, too.
Sweat was really hampered from that knee brace...he tested at the combine and pro day w/out it and performed great....he is great at setting the edge and if he can get his explosiveness back w/out that brace i expect a great career....Nnadi is a force in the middle that can play 1st and 2nd down...very stout as a shade or NT...Matthew Thomas can be a really nice sleeper pick as a sideline to sideline LB and watch out for Trey Marshall...ferocious hitter as a SS down music
Veteran presence in the locker room, nothing more. Currently there was Tyrod and two guys with 2 years experience each..Both of which I expect to be gone the day after the draft, if not sooner. Stanton will be here to throw balls to receivers without wonderment in his eyes as we have had the past two years. Gentlemen, the new GM believes in a strong veteran presence in the locker room...Hallelujah!!! Stanton will not challenge Tyrod and he won't challenge Mayfield...he is here to be a veteran presence for Mayfield, that's his job. Signed for two years because Tyrod is most likely here on a one year deal. Keep symmetry in the locker room from year one to year two for the rookie.
As you would expect from a 2nd round draft pick... Why are we even talking about the Vikings RB anyway? It has no relevance to this thread...Stopper is the only one that cares about him, in the least. He used him as a reference, one that only has 4 games of playing time because of injury, so his college relevance is the only thing that mattered and it still wasn't relevant because of outside factors to his production.
Irish, serious question - If you had to choose between Sam Darnold and Josh Allen, which quarterback would you prefer?
Is a gun to my head? Sam Darnold...I really don't see much of a difference between Josh Allen and DeShone Kizer. If we were thinking of drafting Allen, why ship Kizer away?
Cause you popped off stating no other RB had #s like Barkley over a 2 yr span and Dalvin most definitely did....end of discussion
Ya well the backup for the Browns sure didnt receive the contract that McKinnon just got...good try Lym
Yes, he can help him acclimate to what a professional does on a daily basis. He isn't teaching him how to be a QB, that is the coaches job. Tyrod will be preparing for opening day, not answering mundane questions about daily practices to a rookie. The two in the building currently never really had that guy to teach them, so they don't have the experience like Stanton does in that respect. That is where it stops..Stanton is an overpaid mentor and camp arm, nothing more. I don't for a second expect the Browns to lean on him to teach the rookie about playing the position. He will be used only in emergency situations, and frankly, he can't be any worse than Hogan was last year in games.
Dalvin Cook is nowhere near the prospect that Saquon Barkley is. Dalvin Cook was never being drafted top 16.
Nice opinion Tim....no problem w that....I have seen NUMEROUS times where 2nd round picks have out performed #1 draft picks so thats irrelevant
If I had to put odds on the favorite to go #1 overall, I'm going somewhere around 65-35, Darnold over Allen. But there is a lot more steam for Allen coming down the stretch than I first thought would be. He's definitely moved up boards and is probably locked into the top 6 at this point.
