The ref saw it all the way. But even then he should have called it for being stuck.

Knowing where it is and seeing it are not the same thing

The ref could have seen that. Either way if the puck is there there is no business letting the play stand. Either way the ref goofed badly.

I guess it should continue. Both would be given exit interviews this week. HR department would have a waiting line. I would rather see Dahlen, Petterson and Gaudette get some games in. I wouldn't mind letting Thatcher Demko get one start. Yikes, this has been a hard season to watch.

    From NBC Sports...

It’s the news every hockey fan wanted to hear.

On Thursday night’s Chicago Blackhawks broadcast on NBC Sports Chicago, Eddie Olczyk, who was diagnosed last summer with colon cancer, told the hockey world some great news.

“I got the call on March 14 at 5:07 p.m. letting me know my scans were clear,” an emotional Olczyk said as he stood next to long-time broadcast partner Pat Foley. “I’ve never heard a better phrase in my life. I’m now 10 days on with the rest of my life.”

Olczyk, 51, had surgery after his diagnosis and had his last chemotherapy treatment on Feb. 21.

“All the cancer is gone – we beat this thing,” Olczyk said, thanking a handful of people, from colleagues at NBC to the Chicago Blackhawks and the NHL to his family members, wife and four kids. “And I say ‘we’ because it has been a team effort. We all beat this and I’m so thankful for all the support and prayers. They worked. I’m proud to stand here before everybody and say we beat this thing.”

Foley called Olczyk’s battle with cancer, “heroic.”

Wayne Huizenga, founding owner of Florida Panthers, dies at 80

In the early 1990s, he owned the Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers and Florida Marlins.

Donato of the Bruins is not only a star player in the making and working hard in the NHL, he is still doing his homework... cuz he's still in school (Harvard).

Panthers looked like the better, or at least equal, team in the 1st period against Columbus. At the start of the second, a couple simple mistakes put them behind. Shots hitting the post and quality chances never went in. They panicked, and lost the ability to move out of the neutral zone with poor passing.

Florida is a team that can hang with anyone, if they limit the mistakes. But even they know that as soon as they fall behind, they don't have the ability to take over a game and flip it.

They have a good chance of getting in. But, they'll have to play Tampa, and while the season series has been close, I don't think they win a 7-game playoff series. They will frustrate for a few games, but there will also be one or two where Tampa goes up by a few in the 2nd, and it stays that way.

    Ah, well... I'll keep cheering.

With two goals on Saturday, Connor McDavid might just pull off an impressive-yet-depressing feat: winning the Art Ross Trophy and then sitting at home after his team misses the playoffs. He now has 96 points on the season, one more than Nikita Kucherov.

You forgot Kings/Ducks. If the Ducks didn't come back yesterday then they would be out right now.

That's been fun to watch. The Kings have been in 3rd place one day and 9th the next... good stuff.

Marchand has 5 OT goals this season. He did it again last night. That's really cool.
