Saquon Barkley the last two seasons:
    TOTAL YARDS PER GAME:
    2016
    Week 1 122 yards 1 TD
    Week 2 130 yards 5 TDs
    Week 3 75 yards 1 TD
    Week 4 136 yards 0 TD
    Week 5 60 yards 1 TD
    Week 6 202 yards 1 TD
    Week 7 99 yards 0 TD
    Week 8 277 yards 2 TDs
    Week 9 211 yards 2 TDs
    Week 10 92 yards 2 TDs
    Week 11 117 yards 1 TD
    Week 12 25 yards 1 TD
    Week 13 103 yards 2 TDs
    Week 14 249 yards 3 TDs (Bowl)

    2017
    Week 1 226 yards 2 TDs
    Week 2 133 yards 3 TDs
    Week 3 189 yards 1 TD
    Week 4 223 yards 1 TD
    Week 5 108 yards 1 TD(passing)
    Week 6 84 yards 2 TD
    Week 7 161 yards 3 TD
    Week 8 67 yards 1 TD
    Week 9 96 yards 0 TD
    Week 10 55 yards 2 TD
    Week 11 224 yards 3 TD
    Week 12 81 yards 2 TD
    Week 13 175 yards 2 TD (Bowl)

    So over 27 games, he failed to get 100 yards 10 times...of those he had 99, 96, 92, 84, 81 in 5 of the 10...

He also had 11 games of 150 yards or more and 7 of those were 200 yards or more...

He has only had TWO games where he failed to score a TD..so he scored a TD in 93% of games played over the past two years.

Show me another back with that kind of production over the last two years, it wasn't a fluke. He's that special..

    LS - Charley Hughlett

That's currently 49 players, with a bunch of other bodies I don't expect to make the team...This off season has already produced upgrades at 7 positions and a down grade at 1 position..

    We are currently better at:
QB, RT, SWR, RB on offense
    LCB, SS, FS, on defense
You could make an argument that we are better at LWR as well, since Josh Gordon wasn't available until week 11 of the season.
We have been downgraded at LT

Current needs/upgrades to starting positions include:
QB(though much less so than recent years), LT, OWR,
Current needs for upgrades or immediate backups include:
RB, SWR, RDE, DT, LB (all 3 positions), CB, FS

I would pinpoint our BIGGEST needs that still need addressed in this order:
LT, OWR, CB, SWR, QB, RB

I think QB and RB are big needs, but the current players will do a fine job in 2018..it's beyond that I am extremely worried about both positions.

Excellent breakdown...I'll just reference this post when I rep the Browns in a mock. Not much research left to do. just pick the players..I haven't seen a better report and diagnosis anywhere.

The production was there, but his off field issues sent him way down the draft board. If he had walked the straight and narrow, no doubt he would have been considered a top ten RB...Although his size isn't ideal either..

Although, I inadvertently left off all three LB positions as immediate needs at upgraded backup positions...

One mistake I noticed...We did sign CB Terrance Mitchell 3yr/$10m, so he's gotta be in the mix...

Based off where they have played previously, I do think T.J. Carrie will be the starter at LCB....and Gaines will be the RCB.

Nice work, Irish! My take (by position group)

You show two needs here. I'm thinking more like three. When Coleman and Gordon can go a full season without breaking a bone or failing a drug test . . . I'll feel better. Too bad the draft this year is relatively thin at WR.

I have to wonder if Dorsey feels confident enough with Coleman at LT to NOT attempt to trade back up into the 1st round for a "premium" tackle.

I can't imagine any scenario where they go after another TE.

There's an entire thread on this already . . . no need to elaborate.

This is where I may have a different angle. We already have a need here and at SWR. Why not move Duke to SWR and go after Barkley? Two birds - one stone.

On the surface, this group looks to be okay. Not earth shaking - but okay.

THIS is the position group I feel the least confident in from a depth standpoint. Three positions - three needs! The good news is that the three needs are for depth.

I look to find another FS when the 53 man cuts occur.

Something tells me Dorsey isn't finished with the defensive secondary. And you forgot Terrance Mitchell.

ST's looks to be set. Curious as to who will be returning KO's and punts.

Agree. But now would be the time to address that, No?

The one we know nothing about is Howard Wilson...He could be the wildcard.

  12. What? He did it vs the best defenses in the country....yes BC, WF, Clemson, Fla, NC St, Miami Fl, Mich, etc....he can catch the ball and is a 3 down back that is great in pass pro...not sure where you think he’s not in the same measurement

  13. I really feel that was blown out of proportion...he has matured over his FSU yrs and has been on the straight and narrow for awhile now...knock on wood

  14. IrishDawg42 Legend Manager Browns Buckeyes Fighting Irish

I'm just saying, that was a huge red flag...something Barkley doesn't have hanging over his head.

  15. I can agree w that

I'm going to ignore the "best defenses in the country" remark and just chalk it up to yet another Stopperism.

    You didn't prove shit !!!

You took 5 minutes and copy/pasted a list from Bleacher Report. Where did the offenses that those defenses played against rank?

Even using you "proof" . . . 9 teams on that list play in the Big 10. Only 7 play in the vaunted ACC. That means Barkley played against 8 of them while your boy played against 6.

  20. But Barkley did garbage vs those teams that’s the difference
    Mich 59 yds
    Mich St 14 yds lol
    Wisky 83 yds
    Ohio St 99 yds
