Word is Pyror is pricing himself out after last season. Beyond him, I was also thinking Suh would look good in the middle of that line, but he is on the wrong side of 30 for DL, and his drop off could be exponential. Given the amount it would take (I know its hard to accept that everyone doesn't have the same affinity for Cleveland that we all do), it might not be wise to sign him.

It would take a completely stable team with a strong coaching team. It would take the kind of consistency that only a couple of teams have. That kind of team doesn’t need this guy.
We're targeting Allen Hurns (probably not the exciting signing you were hoping for). I think, aside from probably Suh's lack of interest in Cleveland, is that the signings Dorsey has made thus far are not a ton of blue chip players. In fact, the trades were the bigger deals and they cost #65 and #101, respectively, so it's not a major acquisition. Dorsey is adding solid veterans to a team already loaded with talent (yes, loaded). In most cases, they're guys with playoff experience, veteran experience, and guys who'll either compete for starting jobs or contribute heavily. He doesn't need blue chip guys (and possibly learned his lesson spending heavily in Kansas City). Plus... look at 2019 potential free agents. There's going to be some money spent that season.
Pryor was a shoe in at the beginning of FA....now Hurns is next in line...they went from Tyrann, Tru Johnson, Cousins, etc to a bunch of backups

Good point...I still think Suh has plenty left in the tank, but I admit, he doesn't seem to fit the plan.. All in all, I agree with the plan to sign younger players, but wasn't really expecting Suh to suddenly become available. The guy just has that mean and nasty streak that I like in the middle of my front 7.... I just look at the teams that are close to winning it all, and they are all close to the cap limit. We are talking about carrying over $50m in unused cap space....Seems like a decided disadvantage to me.
The Honey Badger was a fan pick, and Cousins wasn't coming here regardless of money. As for the bunch of backups, there are actually 53 men on the roster, and for as terrible as you say the team is talent wise, doesn't that mean they need depth? We had the defensive starters on the field for a qtr and absolutely wreaked havoc on a good Detroit offense. We lose Collins that game, we lose Ogbah for half the year, Garret was never fully healthy and played bout half the year. Corners were in and out, safeties were banged up...so in what world are you living in where signing backups is not improving?
Agree for the 2018 season. But take a peek at the list of potential free agents in 2019. I truely don't believe Dorsey is building this roster for only 2018. I believe he learned a valuable lesson in K.C.

Trade down from #1 to #2, trade down from #4 to #12 (+#22) to let Buffalo take Josh Allen, trade up with some of those seconds and before I knew it, Cleveland was drafting at: #2 #12 #22 #23 #33 #34 #111 #138 #175 #205 Is that over-kill? Pretty sure no team's ever taken six players in the Top 34 selections.
