I surely hope that in 2018 parents aren't dependent on athletes as role models. That's such an antiquated ideal and a lazy take.
Funny... FSU settled for almost a million dollars and Jameis settled a civil suit for an undisclosed amount of money. That's typically the behavior of someone who's innocent. You're also equivocating "not guilty" with "innocent". I don't expect a dullard like you to understand the different, just know that there is one.
.800 winning percentage sucks. What a loser. You can play that game all day long. Jim Kelly lost a fist full of Super Bowls. Not a winner. Guy's terrible.
2019 is a harder schedule on paper...but, we all know every year, with every rising team, there is also a depleting team to take their place. I believe the Bengals are on that slide..so even thought you didn't have them as a win above, they could actually be a team that with Tyrod, they could beat twice. I'm not going through the whole schedule in March and pick out wins..all I am saying is that "toughness" of schedule will be determined at the end of 2018, not in March, months before the season ever begins. We simply don't know who our toughest and weakest competition will be until the games are being played.
Don't group me in this one....I like Hue, I didn't like his performance as a coach trying to do two jobs at once. I truly believe he will be a better HC without the offensive duties clouding his thoughts.
I agree with about 95% of this. I don't think you can go back to 2017 and pencil in wins simply because teams game plan against opponents as is. If you're a '17 Browns opponent I think your game plan against a guy like Kizer is going to be a lot different than a game plan against Tyrod. Too many variables. I do agree 100% this team has talent and they've obviously added to that this offseason. The biggest hole I see is at DT and CB. I think a trade down at #4 would be a great idea. If it's Miami or Buffalo I'm going Denzel Ward at #11 or #12.
And you are no where near what YOU think YOU are...just go away, you haven't contributed to anything here. Beach is welcome because he challenges our intellect, not just throwing out unintelligible dribble for reaction. @Tim would it be possible to have a new section reserved just for gidion and stopper? They can talk to each other all day and night...even send snapshots of each other, if that's what the love affair leads to. honestly gid...if you would actually come on and speak about subject matter in a responsible way rather than just throwing shit at the screen, we welcome all those outside the Browns Backers...you simply don't...so go away
Have you been to ANY school in America these days? The F-bomb is not something that is swept under a rug in this day and age. Now, I am old school, I don't curse around my kids, I don't curse in public, but in private I have a truckers mouth. My children, do not curse around me (13 and 15). My daughter, who is the 15 year old, had a really bad practice the other day, got in the car and asked my permission to cuss just once in front of me. Amused, I said she was an adult and as long as she doesn't do it in public, I don't have an issue....She said that her coach was being an A-hole, yelling at every player at practice as if they were all the worst players he had even been around....I didn't make that SFW, she said A-hole...that's her version of cursing...HOWEVER, we have thinner doors than either child know...when she is on the phone with her friends, I hear what is said...When my 13 year old son, who SWEARS that he doesn't curse and every adult I know praises his actions in public, is on the video games, I hear F-bombs rolling off his tongue...This is in private, so he has been taught properly when, where and in what context it is ok to use such language as not to offend others. I agree that sports figures are role models...but parents need to put that into perspective. I would LOVE for any of my children to do anything they love, whether it is sports, music, writing...as passionately as Baker Mayfield plays the game he loves dearly. For that, I would love to have him on the team we watch on Sundays so that he can inspire my kids. I don't think a crotch grab and even a middle finger to Coach Tomlin would inspire my daughter to do the same thing, not in a million years. Now, YOUR HERO...as SAS has already stated...well, that's a whole other issue...
Really? First thing I think about is that he took a team to 4 straight Super Bowls, the reason he is in the Hall of Fame. We aren't even in the same dimension with your negativity, so don't say "we" in anything related to anything.
Cincy absolutely dominated the Browns in both games....they made Dalton look like Montana x2...what do you people watch?
You know . . . There was a brief discussion on the Steelers' board about ignoring people because every once in a great while they do come up with a meaningful post. To which Beach responded, "That's like eating shit every day just in case someday you'll score some peanuts". Seems appropriate here.
