You have to protect the sanctity of the eye gauging and arm twisting in pile ups, the intentional head hunting, and cheap shots that the NFL is known for. Contrast that to Mayfield, who's 6'0" and 215. He's a career 68.5 (third highest, NCAA history) completion guy. His QB efficiency is 175.4 (second highest, NCAA history - twice broke the single-season record). He'l be 23 when drafted. He was a four year starter, fifth year senior. His career winning percentage is 39-9 (0.813). His footwork is either best, or second-best (depends if you're talking about ability inside and outside pocket) in the class. He's had multliple signature wins, took his team to the CFB Playoffs and narrowly won, and has - in Dorsey's own words - overcame adversity left an right his entire career. Tell me again why Allen makes more sense.

Just to be clear... your favorite QB (Jameis Winston) *RAPED* a girl, was caught stealing crab legs from a grocery store, was cited for destruction of property with a firearm, was caught with a firearm on campus, was reprimanded and given "internal discipline" by FSU for screaming "GRAB HER BY THE P*SSY" in a crowded lunch room. But yeah... that crotch grab against Kansas sure was despicable. EDIT: It was "F**K HER IN THE P**SY" that Winston screamed... my mistake. I was thinking of another turd-bucket the first time around.

Accuracy Very Underrated - misses in the gamess I've watched were mostly related to poor footwork. Dozens of INCs simply trying to avoid a sack. 7. Keeps Eyes Downfield Under Pressure 8. Elite Pocket Awareness There have been a lot of Ben Roethlisberger comparisons over the years but Josh is the most accurate comparison I have seen. When his feet are set and his mechanics are good he displays very good accuracy. Like Ben, when they are not his ball will float. The Boise State game displays just about everything you need to see from Josh Allen. Very, very competitive guy who will lay his body on the line. If you look at the stat sheet you say to yourself Allen had a terrible game. That's very far from the truth. He was playing with one arm tied behind his back (o-line blows), his receivers are god awful and he kept them in the game through three quarters with toughness and playmaking ability (beat them in 2016 for the first time in 11 attempts). Put this kid in a run-first offense his first couple of years with playmakers on the outside and a halfway competent o-line and he will be a damn good NFL quarterback because he displays above average accuracy when he's in rhythm and he's able to step into the pocket. And he can make every throw, sideline to sideline. I think if you put his film on with a preconceived notion you can pick it apart and rip him to shreds. If you go into open-minded and look at what he's playing with (for the love of God that team has no playmakers) I think you can get a pretty good appreciation for what he brings to the table. Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him in a Browns uniform next year and the time he will spend learning the Pro Game and working on mechanics will be invaluable.
To add to what beach just wrote, the Sooners play in a weak conference and Mayfield is nowhere near what you think he is.
