  2. Williams is a projected guard, O'Neill is athletic but not NFL ready and Jones needs more strength and weight

    Connor Williams
    Chukwuma Okorafor
    Jamarco Jones
    M. Rankin

For possible 2nd rd candidates, I like this order on the OT's...

  4. Solder 4 yrs $60M.....didnt see guaranteed $

Cordy Glenn was hit with the "arms too short" to be a tackle and he's done just fine.

Athleticism - especially flexibility - for lineman is crucial.

Joe Thomas has played around 300 his entire career. Jamarco Jones weighed in at 299 at the Combine, a full three inches shorter than Joe.

I would even take Fatty McFatster, Orlando Brown over Miller. I'm not sure Williams drops, to me, he is the only legit OT in this draft. Everyone else has big red flags waving over their heads.

THAT is why I personally am hoping for one more year of Joe Thomas.

You didn't think stopper actually READ it, did you...and if he skimmed it, incomprehension is a foregone conclusion.

Well, who slides in to the LT spot with who they have right now? And does this mean the FA route and/or the draft? And who is available in the draft?

They said the Browns bowed out quickly when they saw the numbers on the contract. Just came down to not wanting to pay.

They still have a couple options...
    • Kick Bitonio outside (creates issue inside, potentially)
    • Try Shon Coleman, Spencer Drango, or Rod Johnson out at LT (RT, guard, project)
    • Try Hubbard or Stephenson out at LT (both RTs)
    • Trade for a guy (slim market)
    • Draft a rookie early (most likely option)
Somewhere between #4 and #64, they should be able to address the tackle position.

Couple of names out there in the 1 - 3 range.

Orlando Brown - one bad Combine shouldn't erase three years of really solid tape.
Connor Williams - @showstopper and some folks may be down on him, but he's a tactician who looked elite early on.
Mike McGlinchey - solid, if not spectacular - may have benefited from playing with Quenton Nelson
Jamarco Jones - again... solid, not spectular - held up well in the Big 10
Brian O'Neill - versatile tackle and plus-athlete (great flexibility score)
Tyrell Crosby - big, right tackle who has some experience on the left side - big, road-grader kind of guy

I figure the Browns start Hubbard (paid him a pretty solid amount for a right tackle) and draft a guy in round two. Then let them battle it out in camp and see who wins.
