I think the Browns are locked on to QB at #1 now and only consider trading #4 if Barkley isn't there.
I don't know how in the hell I missed SAS' post on Hyde, lol... I fully expect the Browns to draft a QB #1 overall. I think they have already been in a room and have already settled on a QB over all the others. They will still go through the motions of interviews, pro days, etc...but I don't think their minds will change. I won't pretend to know which one they are settling on, but with the off season additions, they are obviously hoping they aren't in the position to draft THEIR CHOICE of QBs from a list of 5 potentials any time in the near future...QB will be the #1 overall pick...#4, well, that is a more worthwhile discussion on these boards at this point until April hits and we finally get some word on who their QB is.
If we don’t get a top flight CB in FA, then id have to pass on Barkley. We either need the best CB available, or Chubb. Our D needs the help. RBs will be available later.
That's my thinking. I've been working into that thought (running back later) the past few days. It's just Dorsey's M.O. Dorsey has tried, and failed, to land a good edge rusher all offseason. Chris Smith is a rotational dude at best, so I would expect the pick to become Chubb at #4 if we can't work a trade-down. Tackle still needs to be a priority, too - especially if we miss out on Nate Solder.
Nathan Zegura ✔@NathanZegura Browns have now reportedly added FS Randall and CB Mitchell who combined for 8 INTs last year. Browns had 7 as a team in 2017. 10:32 AM - Mar 14, 2018
The difference between forcing a pick (possibly even manuvering the board to get to a player) and just taking one next season and hoping the pool to choose from is more talented.
Just for you SAS: https://www.fanragsports.com/browns/sashi-brown-deserves-credit-for-browns-turnaround/
Would prefer Connor Williams (if he drops), Jamarco Jones, or even Brian O'Neill. Not a fan of Kolton.
