The Titans are looking to trade into the 3rd round. We have CBs, veteran 3-4 OLBs, Austin Johnson, and/or future picks to offer.

You could have had Cousins, who is making 10 mil more for 6 more int, 5 more tds, and 500 more yards, but don't forget 5 more games played.

Delighted with this. I had him as my #2 OT and a first round grade (I feel like I'm way out of line with everyone else on that one). My plan for his first year would be to tell him to hit the weights until he's got NFL strength, sit in Whitworth's pocket all year to learn the game, and play 200 or so snaps as a 6th OL. I'll even issue him with a TE or FB number, so he doesn't need to bother reporting as eligible every time he checks in. 5 catches, 20 yards, 2 TDs is my goal, then he can take over at LT once Whitworth retires.

Yeah, I feel the same way about almost all of the OLinemen this year...they are like QBs, need to sit and marinate before giving them too much game time. I don't see a plug and play OT this year. There are a few guards I would be comfortable playing right away, but no tackles.

I've got two OTs. Neither are expected to start although 1 will fight for a spot

I really don't get the hype about Jewell. He's slow and I don't see the instincts which everyone says are there.

Keenum is a good QB. The Broncos could have done worse. What if he has a year with Denver like he did in Minnesota? I hope you like the taste of Crow, lol.

Same goes for Cousins... all I'm hearing is overpaid, overrated, overhyped, but he should be much better in Minnesota than with Washington for the simple fact that's a better team with a better system in place, has weapons and protection with a couple of RB's that will move the chains and keep the defenses honest.

Guess my point is this - I don't get the knock towards both Keenum and Cousins. Both should be just fine, but that to be seen and why we play the games.

~ signed, slightly biased fan of both...

What if he has a year in Denver like he did in LA?

That's entirely possible I guess... it is a 'what if' game, but if you look at 'what have you done lately', he trended upward.

Overpaid, absolutely, overrated, yet to be seen, overhyped, maybe a little.

Time will tell. All I know is Minnesota's front office just made enemies with 31 other teams by fully guaranteeing that contract.

Sam Bradford is getting a 1yr/$20m contract....Keenum isn't overpaid. The market is what it is...

There just aren't many good QB's, period....If you can do anything at this level, you are gettin paid...Last year's Cleveland Browns are a perfect example as to why that is...When you don't have a QB, you don't win, and front office people get fired.

That's the free agency crap shoot, it only slightly raises the odds over the first round of the draft. They SHOULD improve your team based on their body of work. But until they get into YOUR scheme and interact with YOUR players around them...you just don't know. Then there's the human factor of, "I finally got paid", which vindicates many of these free agents into complacency, Luckily for all of those signing QBs this off season, I don't think any of them (except maybe Bradford) will feel they have accomplished monetarily what they want out of their career. They all have another big payday in their future.

I really don't understand Bradford though...I get the skills that he has shown..when he is healthy enough to show them. $20M with incentives, sounds like about $18M guaranteed for 2018.

Cousins, $28M average...well about $7M less than everyone was saying what would be needed...although, he did get $3M more than Brees. I do think it's interesting that Brees turned down about $10M from an undisclosed team..

Keenum is good enough to get to the hump but not over it. Broncos are quietly in rebuild mode. Best case scenario is to somehow get a team to pay a kings ransom for #5 and stockpile talent, cuz they need it.
As the resident Broncos expert here, i knoe their roster has dropped off alot. I'd say bottom 10 in the NFL. They've done am awful job Drafting and then not developing that talent. to add a cherry on top they have Zero leadership at the player and HC level.
signing Cousins would of crippled the franchise even more.

    That's hyperbole...

You state quite frankly he is overpaid...

BUT, you admit he "might not'" be overrated, even if he might be a little overhyped...

Well, if he ISN'T overrated and plays like he did in Minnesota, then that is a bargain contract.

    I was talking Cousins

that's ground breaking for the NFL. If I'm a player or the players union I'd be estatic.

    The board is updated.

@LAOJoe , I accept that trade and already edited it in. You're on the clock.

I'll email Tampa now and I'll be back on around 7:45.
