Malcolm Butler (CB) to the Titans on a 5 year $61 million deal, over $30 million in guarantees. Jets land Trumaine Johnson (CB) for $15 million a year Bashaud Breeland (CB) to the Panthers with a 3 year $24 million deal
Josh McCown resigned with NYJ on a 1 year $10 million deal. Did the Bridgewater deal fall through? Or they going to pay McCown $10 million to be a backup?
Their going with both last I heard. Their going to compete for the starters gig when Camps open. Jets probably take a QB in the draft too. Seems a bit odd, but that's what their reporting.
Guess their plan is to bring their rookie on extremely slowly? I guess if they plan on a pre-season battle and cut the loser or Bridgewater and McCown it makes some sense.
4 seasons, 84 career catches, yet manages to get 29 mil over 4 years...... That is PURE INSANITY and as much as i hate to admit it, my Ravens will be finishing last in the AFC North...... our WR are complete GARBAGE
Joe Thomas will make a retirement decision soon Browns left tackle Joe Thomas says he’ll let the team know soon whether he plans to play another season or retire. “As far as a decision goes, we’re still kind of working through that process,” Thomas said, via cleveland.com. “I’m keeping the Browns apprised of everything I’m doing and trying to make the best decision for myself and for the team, and when that decision comes, I’m not quite sure just yet, but I know hopefully it’ll be soon, right around the corner.” The Browns have already added two offensive linemen, former Broncos right tackle Don Stephenson and former Steelers right tackle Chris Hubbard, in free agency. And they’re making a push for Patriots free agent left tackle Nate Solder. That suggests they’re expecting Thomas to walk away. But before he was injured last year, Thomas was still playing at a high level. So if he wants to return, the Browns would surely be happy to have him. (PFT)
Browns expected to sign Carlos Hyde Running back Carlos Hyde played his college football at Ohio State and he’s reportedly heading back to the state to continue his professional career. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Browns are expected to sign Hyde once free agency opens on Wednesday afternoon. It is set to be a three-year deal worth more than $15 million with Hyde earning $6 million for the 2018 season. Hyde, who joined the 49ers as a second-round pick in 2014, is coming off a 16-start season that saw him run 240 times for 938 yards and eight touchdowns. He also caught a career-high 59 passes after catching 50 over his first three seasons in the league. He’ll join Duke Johnson in the Browns backfield and will be part of an offense that’s also adding wide receiver Jarvis Landry and quarterback Tyrod Taylor in a pair of trades. (PFT) __________ ____________________ I like the Browns new look offense... Hyde is a good pick-up, in my opinion.
49ers add Jerick McKinnon The 49ers are bolstering their offense with the addition of former Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon. McKinnon has agreed to terms with San Francisco, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The 49ers needed a running back because their leading rusher from last year, Carlos Hyde, agreed to terms with the Browns this morning. The 25-year-old McKinnon, who ran for 570 yards and caught 51 passes for 421 yards last season, is now likely to be the starter in San Francisco. McKinnon was the No. 58 player in our Free Agent Top 100. __________ ________________________ I like this guy a ton and hated to see the Vikings let him go.
