Actually you're right I think the Eagles would be a great spot for him. My Giants have been so terrible at developing lineman over the years it's hard for me to look at a guy like Miller (there is another guy I would love for the Eagles as well...) and expect him to put the pieces together once he gets into the system. Flats and Solari are guys with great reputations league wide but honestly I don't think I have seen a guy since like 2007 who came in and was a serious contributor that wasn't ready to play day 1.

Especially if you're trying to watch Geron Christian and the fucker keeps moving around.

Thankfully, for this exercise. He seems to fit with the Ravens blocking scheme. He'll compete for the RT start year 1.

The problem I see is they already have a franchise left tackle and Miller is the farthest thing in the world from a RT.

I see things in him. He is just raw IMO. I need OT depth. I could use a starter but I can get somebody else right in there this year if he needs some more time. This pick was an investment. Boom or bust maybe and there is definitely a split in opinion on if he is a LT only, a RT only or a mix. There is not one non-QB player in this draft I have seen such different reviews on from people than Kolton Miller.

That was to be expected. But I've seen enough in him to think he has a future in the league.

I won't pretend to have heavily scouted him but when I think right tackle I think strong side power guy who can drive block and create an edge. Maybe I'm a dinosaur.

It all depends on the scheme. For the most part, at least to me, it has more to do with comfort and scheme. Defensive changes keep changing the roles different linemen have. One day in the league you could see plays where the LT and RT line up one different sides from one play to the other. I don't think I view the OLine and their roles the same as I did half a decade ago.

I will say it's hard for me to put a label on what I think Miller is. I don't want to get caught up in LT v. RT because I think those lines are really blurred. It doesn't need to be a mauler on the right side anymore and that guy is going to need to be able to hold his own against a speed rusher who is moving around. I can say that I watched his tape and was left thinking I didn't really like him for the Giants very early and the real life Giants are pretty desperate for tackle help. I see enough there that I understand someone is going to like what they see.

This is a good pick. I like him a lot. If the Rams needed a DT I'd have taken him at #23.

Bengals are a 4-3, rotating D-line team. Billings and Phillips in a rotation would complement Geno well.

Matt if I'm not mistaken Miller was on your shortlist when you took Brown. What did you see?

I find it interesting since Brown was a Combine tanker and Miller a combine king. Polar opposites if you just went with the latest buzz.

Then again I wouldn't be shocked if you just pulled 2 names lol.
