Sign Carlos Hyde Trade out of #4 Draft Bo Scarbrough with #114 in the fourth Johnson/Hyde/Scarbrough backfield.
I don't think we sign another veteran QB...I think we draft a QB very early on day 1, and another in the late 3rd to mid 5th range..... Mike White Luke Falk Kyle Lauletta Logan Woodside Chase Litton ^^^I'd guess one of those guys, before we go another vet. But I could be wrong...Just my sense.
I do think a vet may be a long shot, but I do expect Dorsey to try his best and avoid a DeShone Kizer scenario in 2018. I expect he'll redshirt Mayfield and let Tyrod play. If he were to get hurt - remember, he's not "built like an AFC North QB" - that would force a Mayfield into the lineup, certainly ahead of a Mike White or Logan Woodside. I guess they could keep Kevin Hogan around, but for what reason (sorry, @Lyman)? He's a bum. I would want a top-notch veteran to mentor the young QB and help him learn the ropes, and play in a pinch if the need arises.
I know that folks in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, but... John Elway traded up to draft Paxton Lynch, wanted to pay Brock Osweiler close to the $16 million a year Houston gave him, re-signed Osweiler once he was cut by Cleveland, is going to sign another team's QB in free agency, and still is probably drafting a QB at #5 (hello, Josh Allen)... He's hailed as a visionary and successful GM, but that is way worse than the Browns' QB situation. He's lucky he inherited Brian Xander's defense.
I'm not a big fan either, but I can see a 4th round flyer on him... That's why I suggested earlier after watching him, that perhaps he could bulk up and move to a H-back/TE role...
John Kelly - 5'9" 205 Justin Jackson - 5'11" 193 Ito Smith - 5'9" 195 Duke Johnson is 5'9" and 210 pounds and you call him "too small" all the time. Sorry, try again. Royce Freeman and Bo Scarbrough are the same player except Freeman will enter the NFL with almost 1,000 collegiate carries. Scarbrough comes with 267.
Ming...you want a 4th round pick to be the lead RB.....also Justin Jackson was a workhorse in college avg 300 carries his last 3 seasons...Duke never hit the 250 mark
Btw, Chris Simms needs to be fired asap...smh Lamar Jackson is his top QB prospect LLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL
There are plenty on my list before I get to Bo......I like Mark Walton, Kalen Ballage, Nyhelm Hines, Josh Adams, Kerryon Johnson to name a few.
So... you want to draft a 193 pound running back with 1,142 college carries and make him a feature back in the NFL?
