Ok, ok...I meant to say if we TRADED out of #1 to #5, lol...is that better? Then we take Mayfield #4 and Barkley #5
Anyone else think it's a telling that we haven't heard any news on Joe Thomas yet? I think it says he's coming back to finish out his contract. If they manage to win more games than they lose, he might just sign another one...He's been pumped up on social media about the moves.
Scuttlebutt on Bleacher Report is that he leaning towards playing in 2018. Take that with a grain of salt.
I think eventually having Tyrod in the building will be the deal-maker for him. Having a competent, veteran QB who should start all 16 (barring injury) in 2018 will keep him on the team.
Out of curiosity... does anyone else find it humorous that the QB we acquired by "real football guys" is an analytics guy's dream come true? And also doesn't fit Hue Jackson's offense at all?
Couple other Tyrod stats... Time-to-Throw: 3.01 Avg. Completed Air Yards: 6.2 Avg. Intended Air Yards: 8.7 Avg. Air Yards Diff: -2.5 Aggressiveness: 15.0% Comp? TT: 3.05 CAY: 7.5 IAY: 10.1 AYD: -2.6 AGG%: 16.1 (Russell Wilson)
The 2016 passing chart for Taylor is an interesting one because he still had a couple NFL wide receivers to throw to (Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods). It's an incredibly sharp deviation from DeShone Kizer who, while bad everywhere, was one of the worst in history in the short-intermediate area: Enter Jarvis Landry. Here's just a couple of his games from 2017: He's literally incapable of running any pattern past 10-yards. That fits perfectly with Taylor's low-risk, high-percentage passing game in the 0 - 10 and 10 - 20 areas.
CBD has now said twice, they are hearing reports that the Browns are in talks with big name WR and CBs. Guessing Allen Robinson is a name to look at, possibly someone like Trumaine Johnson. We got both of them and I would start to think playoffs...
Interesting... I guess I didn't realize he was drafted as a free safety. Going back to read his 2015 scouting report, it's pretty encouraging...
