Honestly, I don't think Dorsey wanted "Hue's boy" messing up the dynamics...Just my opinion....Either way, we are drafting a top rookie QB, and he will be the one being prepared to be starter. Why bring in Hue's fave? This isn't really Hue's offense anymore, thank the lord.
Not quite sure how or why you're linking pick #65 to McCarron. He's a free agent. But . . . I see no downside to having two experienced veteran QB's on the roster. If one goes down to injury, you still have another instead of throwing a rookie to the wolves.
That has NOTHING to do with the question...Nothing Are the players the Browns acquired Better than the players already on the roster that they are replacing? I didn't ask you who won any trade, that wasn't the question. Your comprehension level is of a scary low level. I'm not sure how you are surviving life. I certainly don't know how your HC puts up with you as a subordinate! Head Coach - question - Did receiver "A" learn "x" route yesterday Stopper - answer - What does it matter if he can find a drinking fountain to eat from? PLEASE tell me you can see where your answer above is irrelevant to the question...also, very annoying answering a question with a question..
Yeah I see your inane "point"...Already turned Buffalo's 3rd rounder into a superstar. This surprises nobody.
I dont know until the pick is made and the player plays....what I do know is #65 will last longer w Buff than Taylor lasts w Browns
No, That's NOT what I asked...is someone over there reading for you and messing with you by not telling you exactly what was written?? Look, I'm not one of the ones saying these three moves yesterday will turn the Browns around to playoff contention, that's everyone on the national stage. I know it will take more than that...but credit where it is due..These moves are a major step in the right direction.
You still didn't answer his question. He didn't ask about if they would win a game, he asked; "Are the players better than the players already on the roster that they are replacing ?
OK, I'll give it that albeit a stretch, you may be a coach somewhere, somehow...but a talent evaluator, you are not... Are you really saying Landry is basically the same as Coleman? Taylor is basically the same as Kizer? Randall...well, he would be one of about 4 needed CBs on this team, so are you saying there are 4 guys better than him? It all comes back around to one thing ..You love Kizer as a QB Everyone giving me a rash of shit about not going to be happy they traded Kizer, when it was you they should have been worried about needing a therapist to get over him.
Admittedly I am not surprised about this move. There hasn't been any chatter about an extension or picking up his 5th yr option. I agree that belicheck got the better end of the deal. The only real issue with Shelton is that he didn't develop into that guy opponents had to double team consistently. One thing that is for sure... Dorsey is building this team his way. And he's not wasting time to do it.
@IrishDawg42 You usually make great posts, but when you get to fussing with @showstopper, your quality takes a dive. That dude is deep in your head. He’s right at one point, too. Like any roster move, draft pick, etc. we won’t know anything until the games are played. Absolutely nothing wrong with getting excited though.
If you were a Browns fan, you would know who they were replacing. Instead, you go full blown troll mode and answer a question with a question. I'll make it easy for you. Are the players just aquired better than ANY of the players that were on the roster in the respective position group? YES or NO ?
Congrats to Browns fans on your additions. I mean this will all sincerity. Wasn’t that long ago when I was a kid at Foxboro stadium watching Hugh Millen take snaps and those brutal teams earn that pick that became Bledsoe. Maybe Tyrod is your Bledsoe and your Brady is a couple years out. Hell, maybe your Brady will be picked 1st this draft. Coming here to learn about Danny Shelton. I remember him coming out of Washington, picking up Goodell at the draft and subsequently not living up to a 12th overall pick. Any insights beyond that on Shelton the player or man?
Gonna have to disagree with you on this one, DvlDawg. In these particular cases, we can, without a doubt, say that Taylor is better than any QB on the 2017 roster. We can say that Landry is better than any slot receiver on the Browns roster. (caviat: Duke Johnson may be a better slot receiver, but he's listed as a RB). I'll give you the CB comparison.
