Why do I get the feeling that Irish is preparing a very dramatic post with multiple images, a video and embedding some sound, probably Kool and the Gang's Celebration.

Welp, their are known concerns about this kid being Johnny Manzel 2.0 and it could happen in the same place as it did to Johnny Football. So whats done is done, but I do feel slightly aggrieved that draft picks are being made before the official start of the draft (8am next Monday). I would understand #2 making their pick at 8:01am next Monday instead of waiting until 8:30 or 8:59 after Cleveland goes at 8:00, but I never considered the possibility that those picks would be made today. In this case I feel that I was fully justified in believing that I had until Monday morning to consider an offer from the Giants, but apparently not.

 

I actually expected Irish to pass on QB and maybe go for his other guy, only considering his moves in this. But I like this move much better.

 

Actually, with the snagging of both Foles and Kennum, I was anticipating Fitzpatrick here.

 

First off it is his pick, no offense, and Second if it was not communicated that you want that time or asked for that time, which I know nothing other than what you both posted, then he has every right to make the move he did without consequence or criticism.

 

Teams that really want to trade back almost always wait until their time or close to it, or until they've checked in with everyone the wanted to consider trading with.

 

One of the reasons that this was opened up before the weekend was to accommodate some owners that expressed concerns over being able to make picks through the day time (work hours) during the week.

Considering an offer over several days may seem the prudent move, but the reality is that once this actually catches up to the half hour time slots there will be little time for negotiation once teams are up and there will be many missed opportunities to make deals because of the shortened windows.

While I understand your concern, I would ask that you also understand that we do our best to accommodate everyone involved and in that process there will be occasions where not everyone is satisfied with the results.

He proposed something to me and then got bored, I guess. If the draft doesn't officially start until 8am next Monday. I don't feel that anything I posted was unreasonable.

 

I'm not asking for anything to be changed. I'm saying that I feel aggrieved. In my opinion, the moderators of this exercise made an inexplicable error. As I said, what's done is done. I just had to get it off my chest.
