Where Do We Go From Here?

  1. Yes 0%

  2. Just being honest....I can't see Sherman going to any team that can't compete for a SB not just the Browns

    Serious question...

Why do you post here? I know you live in Cleveland, but even you have admitted you don't care about the Browns since they left in 1995. So, what's the real reason? I am very curious..You get berated for your thoughts on subjects, you've been called names, accused of being lazy, lying, and a straight up villain on these boards...so why? Why do you continue to come back for the abuse? This is a genuine question...

I know YOU say that, but there have been many players discussing the Browns in public who think they are on the brink of a big turn around, despite the 1-31. You don't know what he is thinking. Sherman is actually quite intelligent. I am sure he would look at all prospects and see what they have in the future, not just what happened the past two years. He'll know the history, all of it, not just since the return. Every player in the NFL knows of the fans and the support the team receives. The city has a growing reputation of being one of the best up and coming cities in the US.

I know YOU can't stand the Browns, or Cleveland for that matter despite being a coach for one of it's suburbs, but to continually state that players have no interest is ignorant at best.

Via Bovada has Mayfield as 11-2 odds to be taken #1 overall.

He's got the fourth-highest chance. Barkley (7-4), Darnold (14-5) and Allen (7-2) the only ones with higher odds.

    Definitely better than 1%.

  7. Ok well Cousins isn't even considering them w all the cap space....instead the Jets made his top 4? You can try and convince yourself that they have all this talent but until they win games other players see what's been happening

Arguing with you is like performing a lobotomy on oneself. @IrishDawg42 asks you a question about Richard Sherman. Your only response? Immediately change the subject to Kirk Cousins.

Time to dial up the Ritalin dose if you can't keep focus on the same stream of consciousness for literally two posts, bud.

And others like Jamie Collins see it from the inside and want to be a part of it. He signed an extension that was right in line with what he should have signed for..

  10. I'm a football guy and don't really care what others think....I watch and see things just like you except you take it to the extreme...mostly w Browns glasses on and don't always see the reality...they just went 0-16 and you think they will make the playoffs next yr...just like the Browns other teams will get better as well....as far as being a liar....where did that come from lol

  11. He was traded here and the Browns blew his offer out of the water...the guy was hurt while here and still made a huge buck...the next yr he was hurt again collecting that paycheck and going 0-16 while NE has won the SB and lost in the SB...you honestly think they missed him

  12. Cause Sherman hasn't considered any teams yet but Cousin's has so that's that story

This is why John Dorsey keeps sniffing around edge rushers...

Damn that's ugly....You would think we would rank a little higher considering the premium picks that were spent on Ogbah and Garrett recently.....geez.

Is there any stat where we aren't the worst in the NFL???

I mean, we were first in blitzing?

I guess that makes the graph look even worse though, doesn't it?

    That's just sad.

Ogbah played 9.5 games last year due to injuries
Garrett played in 11, with only 9 starts last year due to injuries

This is what I harp on all the time about Sashi's demise...he got rid of ALL veterans that weren't considered starters. This isn't baseball, where you have 9 guys that play all the games and you just need bodies to sub when they take a day off. Baseball plays 162 games, you can afford to lose 50 games and still be considered GREAT...Football, you lose a starter, you better have someone that can step in and play...Sashi didn't see it that way.

Yeah, it wasn't just Sashi's QB plan that was stupid...

One thing from the Combine that made no sense to me, and I heard Mike Mayock reference it at least ten times, was that the Cleveland Browns are "good" defensively....I don't know what he was watching, but that is not the term I'd use to describe the Browns 2017 defense. Maybe he just meant we are good defensively in comparison to how terrible we are on offense?? IDK...It just made me wonder wth is he talking about, every time he said that...

    Garrett (#1)
    Ogbah (#32)
    Nassib (#65)
    Ogunjobi (#65)
    Schobert (#99)
    Brantley (#185)

Add to that holdovers Danny Shelton (#12), Chris Kirksey (#71), Jamie Collins (#52), and Nate Orchard (#51)... and you begin to paint a really bleak picture of how poor the coaching was in 2017.

That is a *TON* of NFL talent being squandered by inappropriate schemes, inappropriate player usage, and the customary fact that the Browns' defense sees the field 2x as much thanks to offensive ineptitude.

If Greggggggg Williams can't turn this into a Top 5 defense next season, he ought to be shown the door along with Mr. Hue Jackson.

Take the "Angel" position, for example. They drafted Peppers (#25 overall) and were esctatic about him. Couldn't wait to use him. Taked about his dynamic skill set, his ability to play anywhere, his impact on the game... and they put him 30+ yards deep - regardless of down and distance - on *every* play.

The Browns effectively played with 10 men on defense every snap.

Pair that with the mind-boggling fact that our corners were asked to play off 6-8 yards from the receivers and you begin to see why our pass defense hemorrhaged over the middle. The linebackers' first reaction was to drop back, limiting their effectiveness. The delay in the linebacker group meant only the front four were consistently rushing the passer (against 5-6 man blocking fronts). Our strong safety was a sieve in pass coverage (great in run support).

Williams, like his boss Hue, did nothing to help the younger players or put them in a position to have any success. The fact that our run defense was so good last season is a testament to the talent level drafted... it has nothing to do with the coaching of that talent.
