Where Do We Go From Here?

  1. So how do you only offer a 5th round pick for a proven NFL pass rusher...thats my point?

I agree on Quinn...We shoulda made that happen. Two affordable years left on his deal.

Because he's five seasons away from his dominant performance?

He's only had 17.5 sacks over the past four season while also battling injuries? It's not like that's crazy... Miami only gave up a reported third or fourth round pick.

    I thought Miami gave up a 4th and a 6th?

  5. 4th and they swapped 6th

  6. So in a down yr he had more sacks than any other Brown and you wont give up a 4th round pick that will likely play ST or not make an impact

Maybe Gregg Williams didn't want him...That would be hard to imagine, but...

When I am thinking about the Browns draft, it's really just about getting the BEST players. That sounds simple enough, but somehow we manage to....well, you know...

I'm really curious to see how they attack free agency. They've talked about spending, so I think we have reason to expect some big additions. We're going to find out what phase #1 of the Dorsey plan is very soon...I suspect that since we spent a lot on the O-line last year, the focus will be defense, but I wish I knew the plan. The only thing I feel certain of, is that Al Saunders will convince them to bring Terrelle Pryor back...And we will bring in a veteran QB.

Dude... I would have happily traded both fifth rounders for Quinn. Clearly, Dorsey and/or the coaches didn't think he was worth it.

  10. What is the obsession w draft picks(all teams)

Control over a young guy w/high ceiling at a basement price VS control over someone on the wrong side of 30 making megabucks off what they did in their 20s?

Everyone wants the next Brady..the next Kamara, that mid-to-late round stud that will build their resume and help inflate GMs egos. Theirs are just as big, if not bigger, than the players.

True to his word, valuing winning (and a QB-friendly scheme).

I have a feeling there is someone that they like in the 2nd to fill that spot.

Agree on TP he and Josh would give the WR corp some credibility.

  14. Im talking 4th round or later....even if Quinn doesnt pan out it was well worth the risk

I'm not going to argue that at all. I don't know what they were thinking or how the conversations happened. Im sure they have some sort of value chart from their pro scouting dept and perhaps he just didn't fit.

Not only that ^^^^^^^^^, but mid round picks are often used to sweeten a trade up deal.

  17. Minkah who???

Do you stand him up, or have him in the 3-point? Hubbard says he can do both...

You mean the guy that was .01 faster than Derwin? ;)

lol, it's ok to like your guy and still have respect for the player that, at the very least, has every bit as much upside but wears a different jersey.

    EDIT:
And for the record, the guy that I have neck and neck with Derwin at safety looked better on the day than James did.
