The NFL combine looks like a meat market

 

are the Vikings really giving up on Teddy Bridgewater? I've seen all kinds of mock drafts I have read a few things on the Vikings WTH is going on,do you have any info

 

They havnt given up on him per say, but the injury will not toll over to next year and they didn't tender him, so in a way it looks like they gave up, but there still hope they do something. I'm not positive exactly what the hell Speilman is doing, but the only thing that makes sense to me is they have a secret understanding with Cousins and some kind of deal in place, but that's just a hunch on my part.

Looks like by the 14th, if Cousins isn't a Viking, then the Vikes will be biding on the QB's they should have already made offers to.

Its a bloody puzzle right now, I guess we should be used to this crap under Ricky's rule.

I'll definitely post info as I hear it... in the meantime, I wonder if Minnesota higher-ups even know whats going on, lol.

Maybe somebody passing by this thread will offer their insight and perspective as to what is ogoing on or may hyappen... until then we wait.

 

Its sad in a way he likes to keep people in the dark,I'm starting to wonder here with Rick they will never be in the SB they will good just not good enough make it to the SB

 

Cousins is probably the best option if the Vikings want to win a SB.

Hey why do so many people think Keenum is all that and a bag of chips,He's been nothing but a back-up qb in the NFL and I seriously wonder can he repeat the year he had?

Vikings will hold onto Anthony Harris

The Vikings have some big work to do at quarterback over the next week and they took some time to take care of a smaller detail this week.

Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports that the team will hold onto safety Anthony Harris. The Vikings will tender Harris, who is set for exclusive rights free agency, a one-year deal for $705,000. Harris can’t leave for another team once that tender is in place, so it’s no surprise that Tomasson adds that he’s going to sign the tender.

Harris went undrafted in 2015 and played four games as a rookie. He’s played in every game the last two years and has made six starts, including three in place of Andrew Sendejo during the 2017 season.

Harris had 18 tackles and a forced fumble in those appearances and made 11 more tackles in the Vikings’ two postseason games.

Kirk Cousins likely to sign with Vikings on 3-year deal

The quarterback-needy Vikings have taken a decisive lead in the open-market chase for Kirk Cousins.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Cousins -- the prize of free agency -- is likely to sign a three-year deal from the Vikings that includes approximately $86 million guaranteed. As expected, that tops the $27.5 million per year Jimmy Garoppolo earned from the 49ers.

Cousins is slated to attend dinner with coaches and other essential Vikings personnel on Wednesday before visiting the club's brand new facility on Thursday.

"They believe they've got him," Rapoport tweeted Tuesday, adding: "They do not want him to leave the building."

I just hope this works out. Anything short of the SB is a failure. Do or die, got nearly all the necessary pieces.

 

Vikings trading for Trevor Siemian to back up Kirk Cousins

The Vikings spent a pile of money on a starting quarterback, but all three of theirs left in free agency so they needed a backup.

They’ve apparently found one via trade.


According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Vikings are finalizing a deal with the Broncos for Trevor Siemian.

Having a backup with 25 NFL starts who is making $705,000 this year is a good thing when you’re dropping $86 million guaranteed on Kirk Cousins.

The deal is apparently for a late-round pick, which seems like a fair return for the former Broncos seventh-rounder, who was displaced by Case Keenum and the possibility the Broncos will draft another one fifth overall to go with former first-rounder Paxton Lynch. (PFT)
