LOL... McFadden... Yes sign me up. That is a FA signing that would certainly be welcomed. For the Record, I'd still draft Fitzpatrick @#4 regardless.
I agree, Fitz can play anywhere in the backfield, he has a skill set rarely seen. We could have Peppers at SS, Mathieu at FS, Fitzpatrick at CB...then he can move to FS when Tyrann gets hurt, lol. Honestly, we have a "decent" CB room right now, but EVERY position could stand an upgrade. Fitz in that CB room would immediately be the best in the room. They aren't the worst group in the league now, but if we could turn our current starters into the immediate backups due to upgrades, they would be much better off.
Hey they are about to have John Dorsey on NFL Ch. live in studio....I'm curious to see what he says. Hopefully it's not just a re-cap of comments made earlier...
Meh, he's a veteran. He wants the phone ringing to maximize offers, but in the end, I believe two things would need to happen for them to trade out: 1) They would need to sign a "successful" free agent QB by either free agency or trade 2) An offer would have to knock their socks off I can see a scenario where they somehow sign Kirk Cousins, then all bets are off. They could get an offer from the Broncos or Jets (who are the two major players for Cousins) in order to get the QB they covet. If they were to get an offer within the top 6 of the draft, I could see them trading out of #1 because there will be at least (2) QBs, possibly (3) go in the top 6 of the draft...If you still hold (2) of the other 3-4 picks, you will be getting the pick of your top non-QB candidates, while also adding a boat load of other assets that can be used to move all around the board in both 2018 and 2019 most likely. That's the one scenario that makes sense...and it doesn't have to be Cousins, maybe they saw enough on tape during the post season to make Philly a qualified offer for Nick Foles. I don't know which QB they are putting their faith in, but if they acquire their #1 choice, then I could see #1 overall in play...IF their #1 QB is a draft prospect, I highly doubt they trade out no matter what offers come their way.
Will do...Should be on soon. I think they were expecting him a few minutes ago. They keep setting it up, and then going to something else.
Dorsey didn't say much. As expected, he spoke of keeping all options open. He mentioned Joe Thomas, and said he expects to hear a decision on his future soon. He did say that the key to making a big trade in the first round is having a real good sense of what other teams are thinking. (did you get that Stopper?) As far as trading #1, Dorsey is just doing his due diligence. He mentioned that since 1946 there hasn't been many teams that held two picks within the top 5. (i think he said 17). And just that he's going to do what is best for the Browns, blah blah blah...Not much info really.
https://auburn.247sports.com/Articl...-Scarbrough-if-God-is-an-Auburn-fan-115714302 lol! Browns win for the craziest question so far, according to RB Bo Scarbrough...
FTR, today, along with Cleveland, the Giants and Broncos also declared that they are "open for business" with their #1 pick...
The Giants are saying that they are open to trading the #2, saying they are rolling with Eli (which is probably BS). My guess is that Dorsey is just wanting to make them sweat and force them to trade up for Rosen(hopefully).
lol! Yeah that's a given... I think I heard that this is the 5th time in the last 7 years that we own multiple first round picks, which is just unbelievable when you think about 1-31.... It's a Browns tradition like no other...
I'll tell ya what. The more I watch this kid, the more I want to see him in the brown and orange: They say he has Slot Receiver written all over him, and I can see why. What a weapon...Great kick returner too. Boy do I miss that since Josh Cribbs hung em up. I've got Christian Kirk as my #3 overall WR, behind Sutton and Ridley. Any reason he shouldn't be in my top 5? Plus that would give us Christian Kirk and Christian Kirksey, which is cool.
What am I suppose to say? Yes Dorsey your the smartest guy alive and will read every move for every team....you call me out I stick by my previous post and you act silly w a dumb pic
